Maybe it is just me, or something changed during the update..
I use to be able, when the Hotbar windows were locked, swap around abilities. Did they change this, a UI bug, or has it always been like this and I am whacky?

Then again it is 4:30am.. time to get some sleep...

PS: I heart this UI a tons, keep it up sir! I've gotten about 6+ friends to start using it in the last week alone

I think that is a new thing, that was with the patch.

Now with the patch I keep freezing and crashing when using arrow keys walking/running. Tech support says it is probably the custom UI causing this as they had major changes to the UI - I like ur UI and wondering how soon an udpate will be coming - others already have theirs out - thanks

I understand your frustration but I highly doubt the ThorUI is the cause...
No one else has reported this issue, and as for an update for the LU12 patch; the ThorUI was ready and available a week prior to launch.

Therefore i have to ask that you follow the instructions on posting issues and provide the following please:
#1.) Post problems here. (Not only does it make sure I will see the problem so I can help, but it also creates a post in one central location that may assist others that have the same issue.)
#2.) If you have difficulty with the ThorUI, make sure you have the latest version. If you don't, completely uninstall your current version and upgrade to the latest and verify the problem still exists.
#3.) Tell me what version you are using in your issue post. This helps me confirm #2

#4.) Try and be as detailed as possible. I don't expect you to waste to much time but the more info you give me the easier it is for me to help you. "I think"

Have you uninstalled then deleted the ThorUI and then reinstalled yet?
Have you tried without the ThorUI yet?

Cool a new version is out, i wonder how do i update?
Can i just uninstall ThorUI from "Start>Programs" or do i also need to delete the folder that is in the UI directory to?

Edit: For the first, I'am using Firefox as a browser, and when i uninstall and install ThorUI its opening 3 windows, 2 windows that there is nothing happening with and the 3 one that goes to the download site i think it was.
Second the window with my health, power seems to be a little bit cutted off, because you can see that the underpart of the numbers to my power is a little cutted off, hard to explain, but i liked how the health and power was in 4.0 better...

Edit2: I alos like this UI very well, it was the first UI to eq2 i've ever tried, so hope you can take a look into what i've said... its not a big thing but its a kind of irretating to not see the power as good as in the 4.0 release..

And sorry for my bad english :P

Hi Faetyl -

Just a quick question - I always download your updates but I'm just curious if you can put a change log to see what's been updated.

I looked at the version info.txt file but the last entry that I have is this -
2005-07-10 v3.8 Uploaded
Changes made include:
1.) Raid winddow
--1.1) Enlarged health bars
--1.2) Move anywhere!
2.) SkinInfo updated
--2.1) Updated info to include more detail

I've been using the .exe version for quite a while - do you think that I need to wipe out the thorui folder/reinstall it for the .txt file to update?

Either way, thank you for the update (I'm sure it'll be great!)

If you download the new version and check the "version.txt" file that comes with that you will se the newest changes

Normally you can download the latest change log here as well (See attachments up top)
It was late when I got 4.1 uploaded and I completely forgot to update the Version Info log here.

If you completely deleted the ThorUI folder before progressing to the autoinstaller, you will not need to manually delete anything.
Just uninstall from the control pannel or ThorUI start menu folder and then install the latest version.

As for health and power.
Could you post a screenshot?
It may be the font difference, but i'll certainly see what I can do.

Yep, it's smooth fonts.
There's no way to turn smooth fonts on in the builder to see the layout unfortunately "That i'm aware of".

if you mean the red line of color around the box? thats just me showing where the problem is, that i did with paint :P heheh

Edit: if it is the red color that is the background on my name you are talking about if i like it or not, i think its okay, haven't really thought of it, so i guess its okay.

Try this and let me know what you think.
Player Window replacement attached. (Right click, "save as" and replace the one in your ThorUI folder.)
I'll have the group window in a few.

Edit:
Ok, refined fonts in both player and group windows.
Try both of these and tell me what you think.

And yes F was F1 but because of the smooth font issue it was only reading as F.
This should be resolved in these files...

Okay, trying it now as soon as the update of EQ2map is done

Edit: Yea its looking okay this to, but i didn't like that the backgroud of my name is black and the F is red, that diden't go so well together i think,
what is the "F" for anyway? or is it a misstype or something maybe it shall stand "F1" to select myself?

Edit2: But i think that red background of name and the red background of "f" would be the best maybe, and again maybe change the "F" to "F1"?

downloaded latest. did not have this ui before. changed my eq.ini to point to Thorui. game comes up, everything is fine. But crashes client whenever I examine an item.

Is it doing that after you have downloaded the file and when you are trying to launch the program or is it during the install process?

Have you tried to redownload and try again?

This could happen if you accidentally changed the name from ThorUI.exe to ThorUI

Thanks for reply its right after it downloads,it doesnt go to finish button and tryed downnloading again,if i try to uninstall from control panel get same error have to mamually remove ui folder

Wierd i've downloaded the ThorUI.exe file severals times today just to check if there was any updates :P and nothing like that has happened here.

I'll check those to updated file now Faetyl, i'll let you know what i think soon

delete eq2ui_examine.xml from the ThorUI folder

It slipped past me into the update somehow.
I'm working on a new release to resolve now.

Having similar problem with CTD when examining some items. Particuarly hotkey spells are causing it and some vendor items.

Her is a screen, if you look on the "weeping" under the clock its seems a little bit cutted off, its not a big deal, but just something that i noticed.
Also now that the name good a little bit bigger and bolder it seems that i crashes with the frameline or what its called...

But anything else is superb done, i really love this UI, i don't regret at second on using this UI, its really really done well

REALLY appreciate your help testing the smooth fonts!
I'll fix the clock cut off now and see if I can bring the name down just a tad on the player and group windows.

That sounds perfect

You have really made it to make something special, because this is by far the best UI modification I've tested so far, so keep the good work up

Edit: Remember to fix the "examine crash to desktop" thing, just got it myself :P
