Assistance please
Hey I just downloaded and installed the Fetish Nightfall.. I LOVE IT!
I only have one question I can't see to find the answer anywhere. Maybe Im doing something wrong. Please help me. This happens on both of my systems and both my accounts.
In the chat windows. I hit the / to begin typing as I always have and do the /g, /gu, or /name to talk. What we have both found are the following three things...1) if the mouse isn't hovering over the chat windows, you can't see what you are typing. 2) if the mouse isn't hovering over the chat window what we've typed does seem to work..no error messages just nothing shows up and goes back to as it was before...3) when trying to sent someone a tell the /tell command doesn't seem to work.
This last one is the reason for this post. IT's a little strange but when I was trying to talk to someone about a group I would send them a tell but nothing went or showed up. However, if I clicked on thier name in /occ and clicked on the /tell command and then typed in it went ok.
Any ideas?

Thought I'd point out a minor issue for future releases:
Ever since the new fonts, when crafting something with more than one fuel, the fuel cost does not fit. For instance, instead of 2/2 it displays 2/... This seems to happens for all numbers except 1 and 9.

Glymir, priced inventory items should remain mark as "Yes" in the sell column. You should only need to click the "Begin Selling" button. Fetish mods don't change this default behavior.
Faewen, answered in the provided doc and several times in this thread. Turn the title bar on for any chat window you wish to disable input stealthing. You'll prbly need to mouse over the window once to realign stuff. Optional chat windows are also available in the ZIP and as addons.
Burlen, I'll look into this but I suspect its a SOE font issue that I've seen occur with right aligned text at various sizes. If "9" fits, all other single didgets should also fit. Saw this same issue in the guild window with member lvls ending in "6", but it seams to have been fixed.

Maybe I am just going crazy but.. I got everything set and it looks great. One problem, I cannot move my hot keys. The will not allow me to drag them at all. They are just sitting in the middle of my screen and all I can do is stretch them but not move them.
I may have over looked something in the doc but have been looking for some time and don't see anything about this and also sifted thru alot of posts to see if I could find anyone else with the issue but didn't see any unless I am blind heh.
Any ideas?

Aye make sure you have borders turned on in window options, and go for a corner and you should find the spot. Its a bit finiky, but then it should be so you dont get all those accidental moves. If that dont work, drop a spell from it and the blank spot should give ya an X

Revive window not shown when logging in after ld death
Following an eq2 client crash, I logged back in to find myself dead (no great surprise there) but the revive window did not appear. I'm using Fetish Nightfall 4.3. I tried relogging but got exactly the same. I logged out and reverted to the standard eq interface and the revive window appeared as I would expect. Not something that will happen too often (hopefully) but any way around it ?

johnpgriffiths, that's a new one on me. The death window has remained virtually unchanged since it was originally reskined for 3.0 and this has never come up. Might have been a fluke or maybe SOE changed something recently that bugs the window for any custom UI. In either case, I doubt there's anything I can do fix.

Skills window
First off, thank you for the great UI Zonx this is by far the best one I've seen out there. I simply love it.
Does anyone happen to know a work around for the skills window not working, until an update is posted? Thanks in advance

For some unknown reseaon, on one of my toons the XP Bar is no where to be found. It is there on my other toon. I believe it is toggled with alt-x . Help?

ZONX,
I have a problem with the raid window. There does not seem to be a right edge or a bottom edge to the window. The only thing I can do is grab the top edge and move the raid window all the way to the bottom. Otherwise that window will overlay everything else. Sometime I perfer the raid window to be vertical and there does not seem to be a way to do that.

Linna, get the latest update. Skills window change was adressed within 24hrs of the SOE patch.
Ancient1, if a window is presnt on another toon and the toggle command isn't showing the window, probably easiest to replace that toons server_character_settings.ini file with your working toon's ini.
You can probably fix your raid window issue by rightclicking it, choose window settings, press the Restore Default button, then click apply. The window is not setup to reconfigure for horizontal, only vertical.

First of all this is so awesome. I came from World of Warcraft, am very new to EQ in any capacity, and I love your mod, I did have one tiny suggestion!
The quest log mod at the top has a little ball on a chain to scroll through the different quests, is it possible to bind that to the mouse wheel so when I hover over the quest log i can use the mousewheel on the ball to move it?

I love this UI, but one problem I have since last update to 4.3
whenever I zone 1 out of 3 times I WILL zone back to chacacter select.
I've used the original UI and nothing like this happens.
What's up? what file is doin this crap to me?

Thanks for pointing out how easy it is to duplicate one users setup to another.
I copied a lower level alt ini file to my main and guess what? I can actually size and move the raid window on all 4 sides now. I can make the raid window horizontal or vertical, or even stack them to make a 2X2 square. I thought I would mention that since you said they could only stack one way.
The only thing I can say is that I was using another UI before switching over to Fetish.

Zone Selection Window and EQ2 map issues
Zonx,
I am having a problem with my zone slection window when entering instanced zones - like Splitpaw Harclave (ther are 3, low med hard, and All I ever see is "Sundered Splitpaw: Trial [cut off there]" instead of the whole .....Trial of Harclave (yadda).
This "selection" window cuts everything off way short, and its not resizable ... the corners and sides bring up no "sizer" cursor, and moving the cursor with button-down only drags the window. I cannot even bring up the "properties" window for this interface piece. Since I can move it, its not locked.
Also, I am having a lot of problems with EQ2 Map not bringing up the right map - and in many cases, its not even listed in the pulldown, although the caption (top of the window) lists the correct zone [cut off because its too long to fit after the tabs) and brings up the right map but the wrong zone's icons (I tend to get things like Nek Castle icons on the Cove map). Reset (lower left corner) just reloads the wrong icons. Whats the most frustrating is that sometimes the zone isnt even listed in the pulldowns so I can not manually fix the problemm.
My suspicion is that maybe there is a memory leak with EQMap and its not a Fetish issue. But I wanted to check with you to see if you had heard of this map behavior.

Kupotek, sry musta glossed past your question. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to activate sliders with the mouse or arrow keys.
Chumba, The zone teleporter window should be resizable, mine is
The issues you're having with the map window stem from the dropdown menus plugin. If its driving you nutz, delete plugin_4.xml and run the map updater to remove the menus. You can still select maps via the extranal MiniMap window.
The problem is that EQ2Maps isn't setup to tell plugins when the map and its icons are fully loaded or when the map changes in a multimap zone like Antonica. I wind up having to use scripts to detect what map and icon set is loaded when you open the map window. Unfortunetly it is possible to open the map window befor it's fully loaded the map and icons, which can give the plugin incorect info, causeing it to load the icon set and/or map from the last zone you were in. It can also result in the blank map image.
In most cases you can fix these by selecting the current zone/area map from the menus and hitting the set button.
In some cases (especially newer maps) the zone hasn't been added to the menus, so you can't correct a bugged map while in that zone.
Its also possible that completely new zones like Splitpaw compound these issues since they didn't exist when the plugin was last updated.
Some tips on avoiding these prbs if you choose to keep the menus:
1) Always wait a few seconds after fully zoning (camera view changes to propper angle) before opening the map window.
2) When you first log in, togle the map window open, closed, open.
3) After zoning, if the reset and set buttons are dimmed, toggle the window.
4) If you cross a map swap line with the map window open, hit the set button.
An update for the menus is planned but honestly I've been occupied with other stuff and don't know when I'll get to this. Its very complex code.

The zone window is not resizable on my box - I even went as far as a complete reinstall of FNF4.3. It neither resizes, nor allows a "settings" window to be opened.
What should I be looking for in terms of stuff in the file?
Its hard to pick from multiple zones when the good stuff is cut off, and I cannot resize it.

Lat update of the FNF is 28 June, and I think the newest release (12) of the SOE UI may break some things in FNF. Remember folks, Zonx does this for free in his spare time. So be patient. I'm sure he'll post an ETA on the newest version of Fetish.

Alas, my game is crashing with Fetish now, so I had to set it back to the normal GUI for the time being. *sob*
This was SO depressing! I totally had forgotten how terrible the old SOE UI was! How can anyone play that way? Hey SOE, why dont you pay Zonx losta money and let HIM do your UI!
For the love of the lost Gods of Norrath, PLS make an update, I can't stand this horrible SOE GUI!

Can you elaborate? So far the only issue with FNF 4.3 I've seen is that the target windows are now resetting to default size.
