I really liked the UI before version 2.13, when I could choose a green theme. I'm not sure this new tubular style is growing on me or not, but I can deal with it, just not the transparency.

The translucent blue backgrounds for various windows (examine, broker, etc.) makes it difficult to see what's on the window because you can also see what's behind it.
To change the blue backgrounds to something less transparent (and perhaps a different color), will it require a change to every window that uses the blue background, or just a single entry? Was looking at it in UIBuilder and couldn't see an easy way to change it.

if you go to the broker window and look at WC_Backdrop, you can change the backdrop color and backdropopacity.

Love extreme ui but there are two cliches ya need to fix and one is importent

first the importent one

when at the bank and trying to access the guild bank it pops up and says that my ui is not compatable with that function.

the other minor clich is that on the lower chat bar where you can scroll left to right to choose my hits and all of those other's. if you scroll all the way right you are unable to scroll back left.

other wise i love this ui

so far i've noticed the pull down menu in the window options window is kinda weird, and you can't seem to close the lottery window without logging to char select. but the selling works, haven't tried the guild bank window yet... post more as i find em, but you should do something useful... like sleep heh. =)

Ok first off let me thank you as personally as I can in post for the joy and ease you have brought to Everquest 2. Your user interface has made my game play very fun and enjoyable and don't know how I ever lived without it, I was using the old bottom by perdition then came across your UI a few months back. Prolly more then a few months think like 5 or so? Anyway. Thank you for your time and effort to make things better for us gamers. I know letters like these are worth more then gold seeing as I made custom tweak paks in Quake2 back in the day and everyone used to email me making me feel wonderful that people enjoyed my work. It's not really work after you release it and get all the satisfaction from the thousands of people that use what you made. Thank you again for your hard work and effort and without your user interface the game wouldn't be as much fun as it is.

Why isn't there a setting for 1600x1200? The only one you have is 1600 x 1024. I know people mostly would play 1280 X1024 or 1600 x 1200 but 1600 x 1024 is not a normal standard. Can you include 1600x1200 in your next version?

i don't think anyone else has mentioned this,, but i could be wrong.

anyhow, when trying to resize/move chat windows, i've noticed that you can't from the right edge, extending about 1/8th of the width of the box.

also, what happened to the "close this window" menu option in the right click commands? gee, for some odd reason i dislike having 4 extra chat windows i dunno how to kill open on my screen.

For the life of me I can NOT get the installer to install.

I keep getting "Please select a valid eq2_uisettings.ini file" After I have selected the only one available (Antonia Bayle_Pilotman_eq2_uisettings.ini).

My video settings match the option I have selected 1600x1024.

Can anybody help me by telling what I am doing wrong?

Oh I see what may be makeing that happen.. There is a space in your server name? Hmm, for now rename the settigns ini file to take out the space and it should work. so in other words rename lucan dlere_mileena_eq2_uisettings.ini to lucandlere_mileena_eq2_uisettings.ini the after the installer runs rename it back. I'll get that fixed.

Hi there, loving the UI btw...just keeps getting better and better.

I had a question tho with the Guild Logo (not necessary directed towards Landin)...every time I log in or zone I see the "guild logo" and I was pleased to see that there was some direction as how to change it with paintshop. However, as I don't have paintshop or any program that can even open the guild logo file...nor do I have any artistic abilities should I ever attain one...is there any secret stash of equivalent picture files that might be used to replace the guild logo file.

as long as its 1024x256, in .dds format and named guildlogo.dds you should be able to use any thing.

Hmm How did you get 5 chat windows?

Any way, turn on the titlebar and it will show the close button in the bottom right.(in the chat input field)

Ok 2.13.LIVE is waiting on an admin to aprove it, then you'll be able to download it.

Note to the 1024 people: The servers went down just as I was getting done with the 1024 ui_settings.ini so it may or may not be all positioned correctly. I do how ever feel you will like what how I did it.

After I messed with it and messed with it and couln't come up with any good way to resize, remode or ect.. to any window, I loaded up the default and thats when the idea hit me All windows are standered but there is a twist you'll just have to see. Let me know if the settings file is jacked because I dont' know at what point The servers went down while placing the windows.

Wish I could of updated the the screen shots but SOE was faster then me.

Also You CANNOT use your old background I'll start work on them soon.

Every time I login with the UI installed I crash to desktop. If I remove the UI and boot with the defaults I'm ok. Anyone else having this issue?

Screen size on this PC is 1280 x 1024 and I just redownloaded the latest version of eXtreme just to be sure I had the newest stuff.

Any help GREATLY appreciated

Try deleting the ui_settings file or renameing it and see if that keeps you from crahsing.

Also might want to make sure you uninstall any other ver of extreme.

When I scroll over my spells/combat arts to mash buttons I have a window come up for every one with a description. Although it seems convenient and may be nice for some, I just feel spammed. Is there a way to turn that off?

That is the new tool tip the game uses for spells and ca's. I think you can turn it off on the options somewhere, you'll have to read to patch notes because I don't recall where it is.

1. Yea, SOE changed the window it looks for them 3 buttons. I didn't catch thsi because I always use k to open and close it.

the arrow keys for the tab is SOE's issue.

Its ment to be clear, so you can see through the middle of it, target mobs or what ever TS table you have can be in the middle and u spells in the background.

Prob same issue as with the spell book, but instend of zoneing or campying , press the u key.

Nope no bug with the shader button. What is happen is I have no clue, The shader button has defaulted to on since day one. Its prob the way you have another setting. Once you log in, go into option and set you video to one of the three standerd settins then work from there. /shrug.

Ok not sure if this has something to do with my resolution or something. I am using a 1280x1024 setting. downloaded, installed and everything works great but when game first loads the screen is blurry with dark areas. To fix it I must resize my letterbox bars then click ok for the screen to adjust correctly. After that everything works as it should. This happends every time I log into game.

Any fixes for this or is it something Im doing wrong?

Yep have this spoofy blue instead of Marble and Black ..other than that everythings fine ...great installer ...and hello to you ...

Previously a die Hard fan of Fetish Nightfall,

I must say and congradulate you on your latest UI update.

The installer was the first thing that blew me away, lots of TLC went into that, love the layout and the (working uisettings.ini ) resolution specific files supplied ( unlike some other mods - Not nightfall in this case ).

THough like Doncool the only problem I am experiencing so far is the ability to move back on chat tabs ... See attached happy snap.

its a good ui but i have been crashing like crazy with it and windows are disepearing from my screen and other windows i can't move for somereason if u know why this might be id like to know cause i do like the ui

I see that I am having some of the same issues as others. Just wanted to throw my voice in a confirm that for me the:

Back button in top right chat box does not work.
Close button on the Guild Bank Window does not work.
Close button on the knowledge Window does not work.


Other then these minor issues- the UI is one of the best I have used. And thank you for the easy installation.

Guys there is nothing I can do about the scroll buttons on the chat tap That is a bug in SOE UI code. It does the same thing with the default UI also. So untill I can find a work around or SOE fixes it, we're just gonna have to not use tabs past the buttons

New Knowledge window incoming soon. (tweeking some things)

Getting to the guild bank but for now you can type this in
/hide_window Inventory.guildbank and it will close the wndow.
