Default Problem

My Aucp says that eXtreme is not my default UI and that i should go to settings and fix it, what is it that im supposed to do? Can someone pls help?

I noticed an error with the skills page for the extreme UI. When you try to bring up the skills window, I cannot change to the combat skills or the tradeskills tabs. I don't know if I'm just missing it, but hitting the next page, or last page only reviews the basic skills page. Is there a patch out there to fix this?

The "Find selected item" in the house store window ...doesnt seam to find any items at all

The invintory is on the screen 100% of the time.. its on the top of the screen. Press teh + button to expand to see your eqpt. Im working on making this bigger for u blind people but its not at the top of the list till some of these bugs are fixed.

The UI seems to be causing alot of Memory cashes (Started since loading your UI, Laffs UI no issues but tonight in raid crashed 4/5 times) The target window when in detail mode has the ^^ cut off in the implied target window. The target window chat/health bar colors change when I die or zone (Happens in laffs also) Performance / music setting dont save the compas letters could be brighter to actualy see where i am going, raid window box can it be like laffs where I can remove the windows when I dont want them there or if I only want grp 1x and 4x there or what not, in the spell effects window 1 buff over hangs the edge always happens with laffs also =), In the target window the Lvl XX and then class bellow it is cut off with certain longer name classes/anon, there anyway to make the inventory moveable I usueally like to move it and have a bag near it so I can hot swap potions/totems etc, but memory error is the biggest problem that needs to be fixed

(also the yellow bubble still in the maintained buffed bubbles) can the HO window be made w/out the big ass bg arorund it

Four new "bugs" I can remember off hand.

1. The quest journal still does not resize correctally. The bottom frame is locked, and the window will not adjust horizontally.

2. Also, the implied target health percentage is stuck at 100%. I saw in UI Builder that you use two /'s where there were supposed to be .'s for the dynamic data.

3. In the merchant window the money does not move when you adjust the window vertically. This causes the money to be behind the items for sale.

4. In your new pet window the power percentage sits too low, and it is difficult to read the percentage. Either re-arranging the pet window or making it a little taller will allow to see the percentage better.

I bet you didn't think you'd have to put up with all the BS when you came up with the idea for making a UI? I quote Laffs:

2. target and inplied are totaly redone in the next update.. But thanks for pointing this out I would prob get owned by copy and paste again lol.

4. Yes Sir Pet people are so picky j/k I don't have a char with a pet so its hard for me to test this part. I should lvl one up to test with.

I figured there would be some, but its just xml how much could go wrong.. WOW wake up Landiin lol..

  • Heidrickla has accepted my offer to be a co dev for eXtremeUI! Being he was doing a lot of good work for it and helping me out so much, how could he refuse
  • * NEW* There are 2 new ui_settings files for 1600 x XXX and 1200 x XXX , one with tabs and one with out. There is also a corresponding eq2ui.ini file. It is important to use the corresponding eq2ui.ini file or the HUD will not line up right.
  • Fixed the Guild MOTD edit button.
  • Fixed the recipe windows buttons so they could be seen and pressed.
  • Fixed the hotkeys so they would save their last settings and removed more dead space around the edges.
  • Fixed the vitality readout for trade skills in the experience window.
  • Fixed the exp percent read out so it doesn’t look so smashed. * Thanks for the loc Macgee*
  • Removed the write section from the guild window and placed it back into the journal. I kept the reward’s tab in the guild window.
  • Removed all patron remarks and controls form the guild window to get it in line with LU13.
  • Changed journals and used Jaxel [OCD-Adv] Journal as the base.
  • Changed the hotkeys a bit more so you could turn off the labels and selector independently. To show both labels and selector turn on frames and the Titlebar. To show just the selector turn on only the frames and of to turn them all off, show none.
  • Added T1-T4 search dropdowns to the Market window.
  • Made some minor changes to the skills window.
  • Found some more OK buttons to make default.
  • Started the process of converting all text’s font in the UI to use textstyles. My plan is to make so you can switch out font packs, like you can the frames and backgrounds.
  • Sorry I didn’t get rest of the raid zones addedL I’ll hopefully have that in the next update.
  • I think that’s it for 1.12.5, I probably left something out or broke something. I am sure you guys will find it if I did J

not sure if this has been address yet - but this ui doesn't work for people starting new characters and doing the tutorial on the boat. Since that opens with a cut scene that you have to click through, the ui doesn't know how to load it just the main windows and a black screen.

Had to switch to the default UI get to the IoR then could switch back to this one, was checking to see how it would handle those tutorial situations [img]/images/eq2layout/smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I updated to 1.12.5 and here's a screen cap of the experience. Still mashed. I'm starting to think you like "mashed" experience.

I attached my "repaired" version of the experience window, but I only fixed the adventure experience for two reasons; one, so you can see what the difference is between the mashed and non-mashed (you'll notice it doesn’t look good in UI Builder, but once loaded in game it's tight), and two, I'm too lazy to fix the tradeskill and guild experience %'s.

There is only a few fonts that the exp % will work with properly likes .. as you know you need to overlay parts of the windows... best to test it using a number 8 in the last spot as that is about the widest char your can get ... in the ss i see the "2" is partly cut off... Its not easy to line up correctly likes

When you crashed did you change your video settings via the exp window controles? I don't mean you changed the settings then u crashed, but changed them and a little be later you crashed..

I never liked the 4 box raid wndow. I just resize the window to what need. I'll try to toss somthing together, would be a good controle to put in a dead spot:P

I noticed ther ^^ being cut off too, but keep forgeting to fix it. Will not it this time.

As far as teh color changing no clue, Dosn't happen for me nether did laff's. What color is it changing to?

Working on getting it to save changes, Trust me I would like it to safe them myself. savessettings don't seem to work.

Tell the person thats names are getting cut off to /pet and get a shorter name. j/k Not much I can about that. But I'll look into making it longer.

Thats what I use the bag in the main invintory for, I just pop it open and drag and drop. But yea, I guess you can unlock it and drag it to where you need it.

Yea I hate that big ugly bulky backdrop on the HO wnidow also.. Working on makeing this look better atm..

Again, take note of what actions you did UI wise before you crashed, that will help me find whats causing your memory to leak on the floor.

Hi

The %xp gained only updates every 1% so you cant see how much xp you get from a mob.

And on the inhouse "selling window" the function that fills in the name of the item doesnt work ...you have to use Browse Market to be able to find anything..

Somthing I noticed when looking at the code in your experiance page!

You dont have an <include> for any of these files eq2ui_custompreset1.xml etc

The code is written into the experiance page itself ! And thats not right lol

This usualy happens when you press any of those buttons when your in the UI builder.... And I will cause random crashes I have found... Besides whatever values your users set are not getting loaded up with the UI because of this.

As a note on the volume settings saving I have looked into this and found that if you make a hidden page and have your slider set that pages Opacity as well as the sound volume the char settings file will save that Opacity info for that window..... the only thing I havent worked out how to do is to get the slider value to set to that window's Opacity value upon logging back in....Hence that method does save your settings its how to call them back?


But its a start I guess

Question

I love this UI. But I am having some problems just getting it set up so it looks good, and doesnt clutter my screen too much. I tried to copy the screenshot, but it seems like there isn't as much room on my screen. I am pretty much computer Illiterate, so if someone could help me out I would appreciate it alot. I think it may have something to do with my monitor size... but like I said, idk lol

Heres a screenshot of what it looks like now, notice its much different then the one on the download page, also there seems to be a lot less room on mine.




Now, if I am running some where and I need the map up, I am going to be able to see about 1/4 of where I am going, Knowing my luck, I would probably end up jumping off a cliff and killing myself lol. I hope someone can help me! Thank you. P.S. I know my graphics suck, I am running on 2 256 rams, the bare minimum for the game, so I had to turn them down to get rid of some of the lag.

Default Tweakpack for eXtreme UI.

I have made some simple custom "tweaks" to suit my own needs for this UI, and thought I could offer them to everyone for download.

There are two ini files that will fix problems for all who can't get the windows set right, because Landiin released this originally for a widescreen monitor. I have supplied ini files for 1600x1200 and 1280x1024, if your stuck using 1024x768, then it's time to upgrade. The first cap is the layout for 1600x1200 and the second is for 1280x1024.

Take a look the first screen cap to see the changes I made.

I have incorporated my implied target mod into this pack, as well as a few other changes. I have submitted it as an add-on for the eXtreme UI.

Looks good mackgee, Just and FYI in case you didn't know, I skinned the HO window to fit over the active quest window and if put in place it looks like it showes up in that window leaving more screen free for game viewing =)

Oh yes, I am back from out of town, working on an update now no sleep for joo mackgee

omegaslover I'll try supply a better settings file for your rez range in the next update. What I do at that rez is drop all hot keys on the lower except for the one under the maintained window, move every thing else over to the right side of the screen so the chat window can be longer. I moved the hotkeys up to the upper right and drop the chat window there.



I will include Fetish maps in my next update skinned extreme style.



There seems to be no way in hell to save the volume settings. Opacity saves but the slider refused to take any value with a decimal in it. Opacity uses .000 to 1 and the slider value uses 0 to what ever.. GRRRR The only thing I can think to do is get a common setting and make it that, if you guys want this option. I like because when I’m on team speak I can lower none important sounds.



I had a crap load fixed last night but in my sleepy state I umm didn't save, So no update fixes till later today

  • Knowledge window redone, or keep fetishes? Let me know
  • Next button on the trade skill window
  • Saving sounds settings
  • Fix the .00% so it updates correctly
  • Fix the auto find in the sore window
  • Increase the size of the inventory when expanded
  • Make the market window resizable
  • Make some buttons in some windows activated with the enter key
  • new raid window
  • look into the ^^ in the target names
  • Help window, not able to select a help item or a CS ticket
  • Trade Skill window dropping frame rate.
  • More UI setting files for a range of resolutions.
  • Chat window background fade to 0

You guys have/think of any more?

I didn't realize that, but that's a damn good idea. I got one more request. When setting the background opacity to 0 it still is grey. If possible could you make it so the background of the chat window can be transparent?

You right in saying that your graphics suck. Seems you’re stuck using 1024x768 resolution, so you don't have very much horizontal or vertical space on your screen. This is why you can’t get it to look like what's shown on the download section. The only thing I can think of in order to fix your map hogging up your screen in try installing the Fetish maps located here: Fetish Maps.

His map has a mini map and gives you the ability to cut down the size of the main map so you can see where you're going.
