If you want this moved into the released section let me know. Doesn't sound like it's still beta.
Update: Done. Now put it up as a real download.

Hmm...I've got it installed and running ok (files are being updated), but my POIFinder window doesn't have any POIs in it now. :-/ I've also noticed that my map POI icons are super tiny (I'm using these)...anybody else experiencing these issues or have a suggestion on how to fix them?

Have you removed the old file:
mainhud_poifinder.xml
Did you press Update all ?

*blush* That would be a no... *smacks forehead*
Now the window's populated, but I've got a funny overlay with the text. It looks like "Clefts of Rujark" in the background, with empty categories underneath. Everything looks fine for the current zone, but those "leftovers" make the first portion difficult to read. I took a screenshot, if it'll help (attached).

In the screenie above, I was in Kylong Plains 2. I logged in for a bit this morning and in New Tunaria my POIF window was once again empty, although there are POIs on the map. :-/

Oddity installing new POIFinder Updater
One odd thing occurred. I'm on the most recent release of the EQ2Map updater (installed in the standard location under Program Files), and had the 1.35 POIFinder files installed. I went an uninstalled the old POIFinder Updater and installed the new one afresh. The first time I ran it I pointed it at the EQ2 program directory and told it to add itself to the EQ2Map options to make sure they were refreshed and right. It popped up an error that it couldn't find C:/eq2map_config.cfg. I OK'd that and closed the updater. There doesn't seem to be an error, though, since in the EQ2Map Updater the second file to launch was correct and now switched on (it was turned off before) so the finder updater seems to have found eq2map_config.cfg correctly. I'm thinking that error dialog I got was part of a search for eq2map_config.cfg and was just saying "I didn't find it here, let me go on to the next location."?

Well, it did seem to find the EQ2Map config file in the end, because it modified it to turn itself on in it. I was thinking maybe it was looking in a list of places, and C:/ happened to be earlier on the list and generated a spurious dialog before it moved on and found the file where it belonged. In any case, that was the only odd bit and it seems to be working smoothly now that it's installed and fully configured.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Seems like there is something wrong with your eq2ui_custom.xml file, look at treemos install instructions.

Not sure how this program works, but sounds like either you need to install the updated manual POIFinder first or - if all files are handled by the updater - like jnils needs to provide an updated plugin_7.xml.

You better switch back to Treemos version, i don't know what it can be.
You can attach your eq2ui_custom.xml file here so i can have a look at it.

Well I just tried your updater for the first time to see what's up and as you said there are no differences to the files in the manual install. Works just fine for me. Those having problems should probably read the red line in my sig - that's universal truth for all mods.

Read the red line and tried uninstalling the stuff. I am confused though, The Treemoss thing works good with the exception of not having updates for Rok.
I am probably doing something wrong and something simple to fix but can't find it.
This is what I get
first I get a message saying: Can't find eq2ui_custom_poifinder entry in eq2ui_mainhud.xml file,create one?
Then I get an error box
Can't create entry:
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than size of the collection.
Parameter name: startIndex
Would really love to get this thing working.

Are you using the updater version from the first post of this thread (jnils, go put this up as a real download already! )?

I realy need to go through all the UI's and look how the custom file looks like

I think the biggest problem is it's looking in eq2ui_mainhud.xml, when it should be checking eq2ui_custom.xml and modifying that if needed. It's the same include syntax as eq2ui_mainhud.xml uses, but the default one now is empty and includes the close in the open tag instead of coming with a close tag seperate. That may be throwing your code off, depending on how you check for things.
