My bag window locations do not save when I log off. I like to arrange them like they're shown in the bank, and with a row of inventory bags above the bank bags. I am using the standard non-dynamic bag windows.
Do I have some sort of persistent setting in a .ini file that I can change? Can I reset the bag window locations without resetting everything?
I know this UI has been optimized for a screen resolution of 1280x1024. Anyone with a higher resolution always has the option to make the windows etc bigger. The problem I have is, that I play on a Laptop with 1280x800 (gameplay wise no issues, and my lappy is fast enough i play high res). The thing is, with that small resolution, I can't see the buttons in th char select screen. I cant choose chars, nor can I hit the Play button (Well, it's all in german, but you know what i mean )
It's not THAT big a deal, since I can just /camp and relog by choosing chars straiht away, but who agrees with me that that's annoying ^_^;
My question is, is there an option for me to lower the res to my correspoding option? even if its only for char select? (since default UI works)
I'm sorry if it's an easy fix, I'm a bit of a newb in that sense ^^;;
Has anyone else been having problems when you go to a broker and do a search for something? On my system the broker screen disappears and it acts like I am mezzed, I can't move at all. I end up having to camp out and log back in.
What is causing this?
I really like this mod and i'm planning on adopting it as my new flavor . There are just a few pieces I'm not too crazy about, though.
Firstly, are you still providing support for files earlier than 3.0? I'd just like to make sure the files I'd like to use from 2.5 are still in good shape functionality wise.
I swapped the player, target and group windows for your 2.5 version. I prefer bars to meters, otherwise I feel like I'm staring at my stereo's graphical equalizer . Seems to look good so far, though the group health/power bars seem to be slightly shorter in length than they player window. If you wouldn't mind taking a look it'd be spiffy to have bars of equal length. My main is a healer and I like lining up bars exactly so it's easy to gauge everyone's status. Which brings me to my next point...
I assume that the 2.5 group window is horizontal like the default is, you never seem to post pics of your group windows . It's slow online atm so I could only find one friend to group with me to check. I really prefer a stacked, vertical group display, with status effects icons to the right of each bar. Below is a picture of what I use now (pretty much, the group name positions have been fixed since) and the file itself is attached. What I'd like is to have your health and power bar style, but everything else in the group window just like it is now. And of course the group members' bars the same length as the player window's bars.
Can you do this for me Zonx?

Thanks,
not sure if this is what you were asking for, but i just changed the styles on the group window you provided, knocked the buttons over to the left and changed them to be in line with the zonx's and extended the health/power bars, wasn't exactly sure much bigger to make them but they are in-line with the size of player health/power window from the fetish 2.5 i have.
edit - fixed minor errors, should work now
shot is from uibuilder. won't have the grey squares in-game
With the fetish nightwall installed and I go to my merchant window, EQ2 crashes. I rename the eq2.ini to something else and try it again everything works. Devguys must be jealous of the interface or something B)
As a temporary solution, I deleted/renamed the UI files that were changed with this last live update and the modified Fetish UI is working fine.
Here's the list if you didn't see it on the first page when you logged in:
eq2ui_examine.xml
eq2ui_gamedata.xml
eq2ui_inventory_merchant.xml
eq2ui_inventory_store.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml
eq2ui_playerhousing.xml
eq2ui_tradeskills.xml
It's only a workaround until Zonx gets this patched up.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean nobody's out to get you...
Quick question for you; is it possible to make the bag strip persistant between logins? Just wanting to be lazy and not have to open it when logging in.
First let me say, like everyone else here , I love this UI.
There is only 1 thing that turns me off about it: the chunky-stereo equalizer look of the group and player windows. I agree with Eloora in that I much prefer a thinner "bar" look without the title bar for the player name. So I'm just jumping in line here to request an add-on that gives a look closer to the 2.5 version of the player and group bars/windows.
Thanks for the response about the TS icons... Ignoring them is easy. LOL
However, got another little wrinkle. Not sure if it's me or not. I set up my bag windows, bankbox windows, etc. so I can see them all at the same time if I need to.
But, if I alt+enter to go check something out-of-game, I have noticed that the screen moves things around in order to shrink the screen. That's fine, but when I max the screen again, the bags that are in my personal inventory don't move back to the position I set. Also, sometimes they end up piled on top of one another. Since I keep all my windows locked, this is a bit of a hassle to unlock and move again.
And, since I do this a LOT, it happens entirely too frequently for my taste.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the great UI. Anxiously awaiting the approval of the latest update.
There any chance anyone can convert this over to 1024x768?
Although this UI was designed with larger screens in mind, it should work fine at smaller rez. Nothing should need "converting".

Not sure what you mean. There are no visible titlebars in Personabar. Nothing should overlap the stats when Title and frame are enabled. If you are seeing overlap, please post a screenshot.
The HTML window is an unsuported feature from EQ2 Beta. Officially its been dropped/hidden from the supported UI. In other words... use at your own risk.
There's absolutely nothing about using the window that even remotely violates the EULA. The only risk is that it may crash your client.
Since support for the window was dropped early on, its capabilities are rudimentary at best.
Its capabilities from what I've seen so far:
- It will handle basic HTML text formating, headings, bold, italics, paragraphs, and the like
- It can display basic image types, GIF, JPG.
- It does understand image alignment, so you can wrap text around an image or possition an image next to text.
- It does handle tables.
What it won't do
- It won't handle links.
- It doesn't understand most Style formatting.
- It won't display directories off a hard-drive. It becomes buggy if you give it a path to a directory rather than pointing it to a file.
- It doesn't handle anything that would require a plugin (Flash, Shockwave)
- Scripting of any kind appears to be non-functional (JavaScript, ActiveX, etc.)
- It does display some form elements but they're prety much non-functional.
So what's it good for?
Well it can be used as an effective in-game notes tool. The trick is in providing bookmarks to the info since links don't appear to work.
Guilds can use this as a way to keep members up-to-date with the latest raid strat or any other info they choose, just publish a bookmark set to the pages.
Individuals can write their own pages of EQ2 info and publish bookmark files that point directly to those pages. Even if you're not up to being an EQ2 info mogal, you can still write your own HTML pages, saved on your local drive, and create bookmarks pointing directly to those pages. Unless you tell the browser to look on the web (http://) or another drive (D:/), the browser assumes the path you give it is relative to the top of your C-drive.
I personally hope to populate the "Zonx Home" bookmark (provided in the default install) with a series of pages full of usefull facts. Wouldn't it be nice to have quest info, HO chains, Tradeskill tips, etc. all at your fingertips without needing to Alt+Tab out of game?
It may not be the prettiest info-source, but its convenient
I will be requesting links be enabled for the browser. If that becomes functional, this window should become extreamly usefull
1st) Love the UI thanks for the fast update because it was painful using the default UI :-)
2nd) I think the percent for the guild exp bar is off in the single digit portion, ie when guild exp was about 88% it displayed 80.3 and when it is at 96% it displays 90.7, these numbers are all eye-ball counting of the tick marks in the default UI. Of course I have no way of knowing the tenth's portion.
Keep up the awesome work, thank you for this mod!!
