Profit causes my EQ2 client to stop working

I had profit until early this year, using the ui caused my eq2client to stop working.
It's always worked right for my hubby. So, since it's been awhile and updates were made for the gu's and xpac I reinstalled it. Sure enough my client stopped working on log in. (I know it's an issue between the client and profit as I don't have that problem when profit isn't installed and it stops immediately after uninstalling Profit)
Does anyone know how to stop this?
