EQ2 Map "Updater" Problem?

Hello; I just upgraded from Win 98SE to WinXP Home, In win 98 SE I installed it I had no problems It ran like a trooper. NOW in Win XP I installed it and uninstalled 3 x's And I get the same Problem, It starts to work then Nothing Now Error no message of any type.I have no clue where to look for this problem since I am completely unfamiliar with XP still. Any suggestions would be of great help Thanks.
