Request: Non-futuristic looking UI

Why do all the EQ2 UIs look like they are for a futuristic game? They are all (or at least the ones I waded thru) too streamlined for my taste, too many rigid lines and no little ornate touches. The few nice ones I've seen are either evil or nature.

I loved the Kaori interface for EQLive and would really like to see it ported over or something along those lines made for EQ2. I'm not asking for something frilly and screen filling but just some nice touches added here and there.
