In Photo shop 7.0 with the plug in, what are the save parameters?

allo, I'm in the middle of trying to mod another skin I DL'd to suit my needs a lil more.

everytime I alter their widget.dds file and sive it, i get a different size/compression then the original then skin no longer works.

can someone tell me what parameters I should be saveing with? and when I load the image should I load he mip map as well?
