no X on poi

I am having difficulty with my EQ2 map. When I enter in a POI I don't get an "X" to mark the spot, so to speak. I've tried re-downloading the program but it did not fix the problem. Help!

Are you using a custom icons file? The DDS file should be EverQuest II\UI\MyUI\images\icons\icon_map3.dds

I use the custom icons from Milquetowst.

What exactly are you doing? Are you clicking on a colored dot on the map? Are you using the /waypoint #, #, # command? Are you using tracking? Those should all make an X on the map.

when i click on a colored dot it shows the map location but no x shows up on the dot I have two accounts for EQ2 and on the other computor when i click on a dot an x shows up but on this computor nothing

you should try deleting EverQuestII\UI\MyUI\images\icons\icon_map3.dds then let the eq2map patcher redownload it.

Note: If you do not have any additional customiziations you will not have a "myui" folder... go into the map updater to locate the file, or simply search for the file using your windows search tool.
