Default Error Updating

I get this error when I install and update the interface.

any ideas on how to fix it or what to fix?

Well?.. wich one is my problem? This might be 2nd nature to you, but to some one NEW it's not. A little more info would be great.

What he's saying is read the FAQ from the provided link. If you read the FAQ, you will see that the 4th problem listed is almost exactly like the error message you posted. You need to try the solution that is listed to see if that fixes the problem. If not, finish reading the FAQ to see if there is something else there that may be relevant.

Default Tried turning off zone alarm

I shut zone alarm off and added eq2 updater to windows trusted zones.... still doesnt update... I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

Well, through all the searching I did (yes, there is a search function available to use on these forums. Hard to believe, huh?? ), everything points to the cause being your internet connection. Whether it's a cable connection, firewall settings, internet explorer (proxy settings), router/swtich/hub.....Who knows? But theres something blocking EQ2Maps' internet access somewhere.
