how about customizing the guild interface, or persona tab to show how many points have been contributed to the guild, not just personal status?

I dont even think that information (personal guild points) is viewable in game, only via the eq2players webpage. We can only work with what we are given in game. Unless there is a hidden datatype that hasnt been discovered this cant be done.
