Default Kelethin is Evil (and other mappish issues)

Hey folks-

Using ThorUI and the very incredible EQ2Maps - and I love it!

I've read the various FAQs here on Eq2maps, trouble shooting and even did a search (though maybe i'm just searching incorrectly) and didn't see this problem.

What's happening is in the Kelethin/GFay area. I'll drop from Kelethin and enter GFay and the map is great - there's GFay in all its orc infested splendor. But at some point (and it happens pretty quickly) - the map switches to Kelethin's map (but retains the Gfay POIs). It's workable since the POIs are retained, but it is kind of tricky trying to navigate without a map to see where things are. So there I am, running around GFay, but essentially mapless.

Is there a reset command line that will force a specific map to come up? something like /show hey_doofus_thisaintthetree-hood.Map

I haven't tried Zoning to see if this corrects, but GFay is a pretty big zone. And since this happens so fast, I'm suspicious that it will be a matter of minutes before I lose my map again.

Hitting reset does nothing to change things, just stays on the Kelethin map.

I saw a thread that mentioned what seems to be a similar problem with the FetishUI but that's not one I've ever installed unless ThorUI is based on that.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, that issue is linked to having one of two of the map plugins loaded. Either the Loadmap plugin (which allows you to load any map regardless of the zone you are in) or the Grid Line plugin (which adds an grid overlay to the map window). I want to say it is the Loadmap one, but I know it's one of the two. Whichever one it is causes a glitch (mainly in large zones like Commonlands or Antonica which have the map split into two parts) that causes the POIs to remain from the first half when you venture into the other half of the zone, thus causing all POIs for the entire zone to be shown. I believe I've also experienced a totally wrong map showing up when opening the map window but still have the correct POI's for the zone I'd be in.

So if you have either of these plugins loaded, I'd suggest deleting your thorui directory, unselect the map plugins, and pull down a fresh set of files.

Hmm, the POIs have always been correct. It's just the graphic behind them that switches and stays on Kelethin after the first time (or few) of viewing the GFay map.

I'll try deleting thor and eq2maps and uncheck the load maps and grid settings. Will report back if that fixes things.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I disabled both LoadMaps and the Grid. There is a small warning top right of the information on LoadMaps saying it could cause the incorrect map graphic to display. But, was easy to miss that. And all my searching came up null.

Thanks for the help,
