Default Newbs Anonymoooose.

Hello, My name is Wizairde, and I'm a n00b.

God, that was such a relief to say that.

I've been playing EQ2 a whopping oh.. week? Probably not even that. I was a vetern of EQ1 but never messed much with any kind of interface mods.

I've been clicking through all the Eq2 Interface stuff and wow- great site.

ok ok - more to the point - I think ThorUI is probably my favorite look from the screen shots. Nicely done.

The question: I understand that ThorUI incorporates Milquetowst's Info Center which looks to be an amazing resource. When that info center is updated, is it included as part of ThorUI's auto update? Or do I need to update it off Milquetowst's Info Center download?

If this question has been asked (and answered) please feel free to point me in the right direction. I'm just a little overwhelmed right now by the sheer mass information between EQ2 itself, interface changes, finally getting rid of Eq2's crappy map interface (thank you EQMaps.. phew) and all that.

Thanks for the help and patience with a starter.

You don't need to do a thing if you select my infocenter.
I manually update the files offered in the thorui with Milquetowst's hard work when he submits an update. (although I am considerably behind from his latest updates)

The other option is to not select my infocenter then manually download his files when he has an update.

I'll try to get my version of his work updated within the week.

And, welcome to EQ2!
If you're on the Unrest server be sure to look me up.

Thanks for the info.

If I were to update with Milquetowst's files, then ran your update, would your files overwrite Milquetowst's (in the bizairre and probably non-existant event that your update happened to be older than the most recent Milquetowst update).

Just curious. I'm getting there slowly but surely. It may make more sense once I see time stamps, dates and file names.

Really appreciate the help/reply!

just make sure you have the option "do not update if local file is newer" and you're set.

One more Question (told ya.. nooob)

I installed ThorUI... and I went and DL'd Milquetowst's files, I dropped all those files into the ThorUI fold - was that correct?

There was one file that was newer in Milquetowst's directory - the eq2ui_journals.xml file - I renamed the Thor one to _old and used Milq's.. is that the right thing? Or am I all messed up now?

Thanks!

well.. using the Milq journal seems to have been okay. I just tested it out.

I did have one problem though - I went from one resolution to another and I can't tell if windows etc are missing. Is there kind of a ThorUI window reset button (or file to zap) that makes a default layout? I like what you have in a lot of your screen shots. Is it necessary to manually lay all that out?
