Default Set default options/search POI's?

Hi,

I've read the FAQ and done a search and looked in the common problems thread, so my apologies if these are common questions.

Is there a way to set the default POIs to display? Whenever I zone (or even switch map areas, like gfay/kelethin) the UI defaults to showing all POIs. In GFay there are so many I can barely see the map itself. I'd like to have them all turned off unless I turn them on - I prefer playing without spoilers, really, and just enable them when Im frustrated at being stuck.

Secondly, that vast quantity of POIs can making finding the one you actually want hard - mousing over the morass of coloured dots in GFay actually takes more time than alt-tabbing, loading EQ2Map and looking it up with the search feature on the web page, making the extension itself somewhat frustrating. Are there any plans to add a 'POI Search' box to the in game map?

Thanks!

Sui

You can turn off the POI's by clicking on the plus object in the upper left hand corner of the map. You how ever can not set it to default to off.

There is a type of search in the works, but with the release of EoF and what not that project has pretty much came to a stand still. Once mods are fixed and every thing has settled down I'm sure it'll get going again.

I had noticed that when you change the selections of POIs to display they seem to be remembered for that particular zone. So that if you select to show only NPCs for example in Antonica then every time you go there that is all that will be shown.

This was a quick observation during a long night of playing and has no test backing. Therefore, I could be completely wrong but that is how it seemed anyways.
