Default player window icon size

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's a quick and dirty way to make the spell icons in the player window smaller. That's really the only thing I want different, more the size of the icons in the Target/Implied Target windows. Thanks in advance...

Open up your UI in the UIBuilder. Select the MainHud tab across the top. Then, on the left hand side, expand MainHud and select the player window. Inside the player window, look for the icons. When you have the icon highlighted, go into the properties box in the lower left corner of the screen. Find the Size property and change it to your liking. You may have to change the minimum size as weill.

One other thing, changing the icon sizes will require you to reposition the icons.

Hope that helped.

Ok, I did that, and saved the file, quit & went back into UI Builder & checked that my changes were still there. However, when I went into the game the icons were the same size/placement as always. Do I need to make a copy of one of the xml files outside my Default directory to have these changes stick?

Are you using the default UI or a custom UI?

If your using the default UI, you'll have to create a new folder in the UI folder and place the altered xml files in that. Then you'll have to change the eq2.ini file to the name of the folder created.

I'm using some custom parts, so i already have a folder with custom UI elements. It doesn't have an entire custom UI file, just stuff like the map & maintained bars & stuff. Which xml files should I add to it after making the adjustments in UI builder? Thanks!

Well, if your only altering the player window, that should be the only xml file you move to your custom UI folder.

You can ignore changing the eq2.ini file since your already using some custom files.
