Don't see quest giver icons

I was really looking forward to the quest giver icons that appear on the maps with the last update, but they don't show up for me. I deleted the entire eq2maps from my custom directory and allowed it to reinstall from scratch and still have no quest giver icons (though it fixed my problem with not seeing group members). I also seem to have no way to turn off the PoIs like I used to.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
