chat window focus

When typing in chat, if a window pops up on the screen the chat window loses keyboard focus.

This results in a ton of windows popping up on screen (what you are typing becomes commands) or even maybe hitting options you didn't want to.

I've lost a lot of loot and made bad quest selections because of it already.

It happens all the time in Fetish.

Does not seem to happen or at not near as often in the default and other UIs.

Any idea what causes this and what might be done to fix it?
