CLR error: 80004005

Whenever i try and open the program it opens a fatal error window, giving the message:

CLR error: 80004005
The program will now terminate.

I have the .net file installed. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Make sure you don't have any .NET 2.0 beta files left on your system.

I checked, none are there, and upon installing the .net link on the downoad page, it says it was already included as a part of the operating system. EQ2maps still gives the same error message.

In the many other threads re this problem that a search would have found the solution was to uncheck compatibility mode on the program's properties page - have you tried that?
