Default Configuration problems

For some reason I can't show the path for the EQ2 directory. I click on all the files, and get all the way to \Sony\EverQuestII so that EverQuest II shows in the text line, and when i hit OK... nothing happens. No path appears in the EQ2 directory, I am not sure on this error. It doesn't seem like there is any other issue, but for some reason my other 2 machines had no problem with the install, update, or file download.

Thank for the help.

Please advize?

Sounds like you are running on Vista? I'll leave those questions for Kaldran to answer, that OS is too weird for me.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

The same window tells you, that you have to set your EQ2 base folder on the updaters' configuration screen. Did you do that?

Default Whatever your update did worked?

I don't know what you changed with the update, but now it works fine. It worked just like it is suppose to. It let me click on the path and had no problem after that point. What is really gonna flip your lid is that I am not running Vista, I am running XP? LOL.

Thank you for all your help!
It is truly a great interface and is used by almost all people i know that play EQ2. Including our entire guild!

Thanx again.

Ah, but I guess you run XP as a restricted user and not as administrator? The updater would not have access to its database, but there wouldn't be a warning about it (at least no obvious one). I just forgot about that possibility.

It now works because it copies its database to the users' dataspace before accessing it...

Sounds like the updater was not able to write to its configuration database for some reason. If you use Vista you may want to start it as administrator if it is installed at \program files. Actually you should get a warning about that though. I just got a new version online, try that one maybe. If that does not work too, please do a fresh install of the updater since the database might be broken.
