Default Corrections for German Names on Overview Maps

Hi All,
fantastic mod.
Could you make some changes sony is not able to?
Or tell me how to do them and i send you the corrected files?
Since in german most names tend to be longer they float and wrapp of the borders of the text fields placed on the map.

For the World Map it is the text area of thundering steppes that has to fit "donnersteppen"
the "en" is wrapped so extending the box to the left and to the right will solve this.

Nektolus Forest is "Wald von Nektolus" and there the solution would be since Nektolus is wrapped into the next line and only the top ends of the letters visible to extend the height about the font height.

Comments on qeynos city maps follow after porting home

second thing is that most places on the maps have a name and a description
"name :descripton" please put there the space after the colon

okay here are the required changes for qeynos map:

the okmyst box on "t" wider that at least the wrap is in the correct place

willow wood needs to be extended for an "ld"

Starcrest commune needs space for additional "ne"
and graystone room for an "f"

I think i can do the changes at least to the xml files and post the changes.

Default XML Changes done

Hi!

With these changes the german names for qolrd and qeynos maps do not get screwed up.

Please check the result with english names and tweak it a little bit.
on the overlay there are only three boxes that need adjustment. Starcrest commune, TS and Nek Forest.

Feel free to contact me or post here for assistance to make this loveley mod improving the maps of eq2 and mastering even localisation

Alrighty, I'm looking into making these changes. If they disrupt English name placement too much, it'd be really easy to just have a German version of those files (that wouldn't get overwritten by the auto-updater).

In the screens you can easily see the mess that SOE is doing with the localisation

I am quite sure, Thundering Steppes changes back to Donnersteppen and will then wrap not nice

But for a start it would be good to resize the translated boxes a bit. The Translation does not chage. however soe switches between english names and german ones every patch

i sneaked into that evil town, risking my life for that screen

Whereas,
North, South West, East are
Norden, Süden, Westen Osten
or
Nord, Süd, West Ost.

but not with the ending e as SOE does

I am no Freeportian, so I Dont know the hovel named Große. but there is a Word in the second line which is not visible

Hm, Freeport's gonna be harder to adjust. Thanks a ton for the screenshots saegur, it makes taking care of this much easier.
