Search suggestion, could help alot. Also a sidenote on party members and POI's.

Hi, love Eq2Map.....My suggestion is to have a search function on the map, lets say a box at the bottom of the location box. You would type in a keyword and it would highlight the POI on the map for you and create the path.

Such a search function could be done, lets say your looking for a certain quest, type in the search box the quest name or the named mob your looking for and hit search and the POI and path is made for you.


My other suggestion is to make a white contrasting dot with a single wide bar coming out of it for party members on the map and a number in red, would make the party members on map easier to see. Such an arrow might look like this O-

Also on POI's, make it so when you have all them turned on that if you hover over them and another POI is really close to that one it will display both POI's same time, some are hard to see what the other is under it if they both are same POI category. Or somehow make the arrow and the POI hover less sensitive so when you get close to POI only tip of mouse pointer makes it pop up instead the 20-35% of the pointer making them showup for examination, if it was only 3%-10% of the front the pointer dot then you can be more precise on the hovering over multiple POI in a single area and get the detailed info on each one at time then only 1 and having to move around alot to get other POI to display its info.

All great suggestions but sadly the script language that EQ2 uses is not that robust and they can't be done
