Error updating message Help please

I installed the updater and it goes loads for a long time. after about 10 minutes of it saying its scanning files i finally get a message that says this........ im not good with comps so explain with as much detail and please help.

Looks like it can't connect. Your internet connection could be down, or your firewall could be blocking the updater from connecting.

Hey thanks a bunch a hundred times over. i figures out that my firewall thing was blocking it without e knowing. i just temperarily turned of firewall to alow it in. thanks a million again.

if you want to there should be a way to give the updater permission with your firewall, that way you dont have to turn off your firewall when you want to update.

ya ive been looking at that and i think i have figured it out but im not fully sure
