Default Extra features for the raid window

I have a feeling this isn't possible but I promised a guildie I'd ask for this here.

As a healer on a raid it is sometimes hard to see when someone outside of your group needs a heal. Plus the raid window is so big and obtrusive it's a pain to have blocking your screen.
What he would like is to have the raid window completely faded (invisible) untill someone's health gets low (let's say 50% and under). At that point the raid window or the group(s) containing the injured persons would return to view. Maybe the names/bars could light up or flash, or in some way become more prominent to increase visibility for whoever needs a heal.

Any of this doable?

Thanks,

probably the closest thing to this you could get would be to put some like neon red green pink or other really bright color that you would notice under the health bar that would be visible when the health bar is under 50% by just putting it in the middle(then it would be covered up as long as the health bar was high enough and when it isnt you would see the "bright thing". hopefully you understand what i mean. im sure that would help at least somewhat. since what he wanted isnt possible

Are you talking about changing the color of the health bar background itself taco-man? If so I think I understand what you mean. If you could flesh your idea out a little more that'd be great

Thanks
