When this site down. I can NOT download or launch game

I have 3 computers. I 3 box.
When the EQ2Map site is down. I can not play EQ2.

Sometime, I can patch and launch 1 computer only. The other 2 cancel game Download or dump me to desktop when I hit the play button. Sometimes it is all 3 computers that go down.

I have tried uninstalling the EQ2Map updater and deleting the folder in my game ui folder. It still will not download / launch.

When EQ2Map site is down I am locked out of EQ2 game. I am not the only one. My Guild has had Raids delayed due to this BUG.

What is wrong with the software that will not let me patch / launch EQ2 game, when EQ2Map site is down?

Is there a line I can add that will let me bypass the Map download when EQ2Map site is down? So I can paly EQ2 game

Just Launch EQ2 using your EQ2 Icon instead of the EQ2Map patcher. You'll have to make sure you exited the eq2map patcher program all the way first though. I personally wouldn't recommend using the eq2map patcher to launch EQ2 anyway, just run the eq2map patcher once a week or so.

Would love to have some one update or write a new patcher program thats lighter on our server and has more error checks. IE if server is down it tells user its down and lets them know they should try later, etc. Currently there is no development going on with the patcher program.

I've never even stopped once to think about the servers when I run the EQ2MAP Patcher.

I have always ran EQ2 through your patcher with multiple accounts for a very long time now. I haven't had any problems so I guess it always came down to going with what always works.

I appologize for all the server traffic and I'll make some changes tonight to do what I can to limit my future usage.

What did you have in mind, getting the extrafile_list.xml is the minimum file you have to get.
