Goldi start button not working with Fetish updates past 8.1

Currently I am not running the most recent release of Fetish as it no longer works with the Goldi start button. It seems to have stopped working since the bag strip line was removed from the EQ2ui.xml file. When I first started using the Fetish/Goldi combo you had to remove that line in order to get the start button to work correctly. It was taken out about the EOF release time.

I have tried many times to update my UI to the newest release. Tried complete new installs and just copying over the needed files from goldi start button and the same thing happens each time, I have tried using the EQ2ui.xml file that currently works and I get the same results a black box in the back ground were the start button should be and 2 inventory slots with an X in the corner on the fore screen. I have tried to contact Goldi with no luck to get this issue fixed. I have tried under her UI support section and I have sent a PM. to this date no response has come forth.

I would very much like to find a fix for this issue as I want to keep using both features.

Hmmm. A 'black box' where a whindow should be typically means a missing images/*.dds or images/icons/*.dds file.

Try the following:
(1) Search for 'images' in the file eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml (the Goldi start button xml file).
(2) You should find lines containing such things as:
Source="images/xxxxxx"
SourceResource="images/icons/xxxx"
The "images/xxxxxx" and "images/icons/xxxx" are dds file path names.
(3) Make sure all the files in (2) exist EITHER under your Fetish UI directory OR under the Default UI directory.

It is possible the Goldi start button uses a 'Goldi-specific' dds file that you dont have.

Goldi's hasn't been updated for about 3 months. If you've not gotten a responce to PMs by now, I suggest you change to a different Start Button mod. The one StinkySocks linked is specifically skinned for FNF.

Extract the Goldi zip file to your UI directory, EXCEPT the eq2ui_mainhud.xml, then add the following lines to the existing eq2ui_mainhud.xml:

Thank you all for your responses, I just now got around to updating my UI, Stinky thank you for the startbutton link you provided, to me that one is just to large for me.

Buy thank you so much for your info, when I went to add the files you stated, I found the file that was causing all the issues. In order to get Goldi Startbutton to work correctly with Fetish you must remove the Bagstrip line in the mainhud.xml. I was so used to her start button saying were to find that file I forgot. When I went in to add the files you suggested I found this file delted it and now the start button works just fine.

Older Goldi install notes used to include this information, the most reccent ones no longer contain this information.

Now to just make a few more changes and I will be good to go till the next updates.
