eq2maps prob

hi, I am haveing real prob since beginning of year in getting eqmaps to work in test, works fine in live, i do exactly as it says as i have done umpteen times before, and this is new pc since i tried this 3 months ago and samer as 3 months ago cant get it up i have tried it in every position imaginable in eq2 directory, and previous yrs have installed no prob, yet isnt installing the updater keeps pointing to live is prob i beleive , am getting sick of trying to do this plz help!!!
yes have the ini files for live and test in right place,also have in updater options pointing to my custom file jonsui, so if any1 sees this could i have answer as each morning i try 4 hour to solve, been doing this since b4 xmas, then my pc brought it, so now built new one
