got this from a post on eq2traders

This is from the Guk server, I'm unsure if they're backing up all characters the same, but I'd assume so.
Basically it looks like all the character info (such as EXP), quest information, etc., being used is from a Thursday night backup (unsure if it goes all the way to 7 AM PST on Friday or not, since I logged off around midnight). There is one problem though, the item db backup that is being used is from Friday afternoon, right before the servers went down.
What this means is - if you played (or vendored) sometime between around 7:30 AM PST and noon PST on Friday while the servers were up, any items you sold you will lose and not have the gold value for them (the gold is saved as part of your character, and is separate from the item DB). If you consumed any raw materials or sold any items to a vendor whilst tradeskilling, all that stuff is gone (and no EXP to show for it). If you scribed any spells or skills, you will no longer have those and the scroll itself will be gone. If you completed quests and gained items from these quests, you will have the items and the quests will be listed as incomplete again (i.e. you can get this item a second time). If you bought some items, you will have the items and your gold back. If you sold some items, you will have neither the item nor the gold that was gained from selling it.
In short, if you sold items or consumed items in any fashion (scribing, tradeskilling, eating/drinking, etc) then you likely will be up the creek. If you bought some items and did not consume them, then consider yourself lucky, because you're getting some free goods.
It's possible that they may fix this at some point today, but that's the way it is right now. I'm sure this will negatively impact most tradeskillers on this board that played on Friday.
