I had the same error message, but when i opened up this forum, and started to log my error, I needed to see what the error message was being generated when I clicked on the eq2map updater Icon, and it worked without a problem. Seems very bizarre... and no i didnt have eq2 running, and I only pressed the icon updater once... very strange, but maybe this will resolve other peoples problems...dont know why ....

And no, I'm not updating while playing. I've uninstalled and installed again, but I've got the same error. I don't know, what I'm making wrong.
