Need a customized STARTBUTTON..

Hello guys, i just downloaded Goldi's UI. i love it!! but i keep hitting the performance options on the STARTBUTTON and messing up my graphics!! is there anyway someone could edit it for me and remove the graphic preferance butons but keep the other options on it like the NOTES/SHOWHOOD/EAT/STOP EAT ect. Just removing the graphic resolutions buttons.

I dont have time right now but a real quick way for you to do it , would be to open up the file called "eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml" and remove the lines as follows

<include>eq2ui_custompreset2.xml</include>

<include>eq2ui_video_preset1_extreme performance.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset2_very_high_performance.xml</include>

<include>eq2ui_video_preset3_high_performance.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset3_high_performance.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset4_balanced.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset4_balanced.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset5_high_quality.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_video_preset5_high_quality.xml</include>

And save the file..

That will leave you with a blank area to the left of the window where the profiles was...

And then from there the Parent window just needs to be reduced in width and that would be job done.

So i copy and past that file? is it edited like you said? or do i have to edit that file,, i'm kinda confused on what to do. Is there anyway you can download the Goldi Startbuttion i'm talking about and edit the file you speek of and i'll just replace it? realy not good at this stuff :P i'm an artist not a comp wiz :P thanks again. One more thing Can i do this in Notepad? or do i need a html editer?

The notes that Laffs mentioned above are include statements.

They tell the game to load those buttons in the startbutton panel.

So if you can use notepad to remove those lines and then save the file.

then the game will just not load those buttons.

No need for an HTML editor, or even using UI Builder.

As laffs said the panel will ahve blank spaces where the buttons were.

April I will edit that file for you later if you havent done so and size the menu down so you dont have a blank area.. That will probably be in about 3 hours or so from now as still have lots of work left to do
