Default Map update/install not working properly

I have had to uninstall my UI (Drums) because my eq2 client would stop working, I had the same issue with profit and I am back to the default.

I tried to run the auto-updater for eq2maps but it doesn't give me the default folder as an option to install the maps into. I have uninstalled the auto updater and I have also manually installed eq2maps. I am putting it into the correct folder because it worked, then I logged out and the next day it stopped working.

I can't seem to get it back now no matter what I Do, I have even deleted all my character's UI files.

Any suggestions?

EQ2MAP is a mod so you have to have a UI folder, even if you use default for the rest. Make sure eq2.ini is pointing to the UI folder.

Delete your eq2.ini and re-run the autoupdater. It will create a folder for itself because you cannot change anything in the default folder (it will automatically be checked and repeatched to SOE's files the next time you run the patcher). But the EQ2MAP install by itself will only include the map files, all the rest will be pulled from the default folder (the way EQ2's UI works is that any files not given in the custom UI folder are just pulled from default).
