Quest Icon (feather book)

I have been following on the eq2 boards and we still have the problem of the feathers and books, of the feathers and books not showing up. It was mentioned that they will look into it but after a few days I'm almost giving up hope of this being fixed soon or even an update of whats going on.

I understand its not part of the interface but I was wondering if there was some add-on or something, that some one made, that some how changed those feather/books to something else I might get to try. A ? for have quest / ! for turn in or something.

I had started a new character the day before the GU53 and well I don't have that great of memory but got him off the island and into the main city. On which I speak to everyone for a quest, I did find a few, many of them are out of my level and a few hours have passed.

My other characters have quests to turn in and I did ( thank goodness for find n p c {sang to the tune of chef boy r dee}) but after turning them in wow I spend most of my time talking to all npcs for more quests. I understand its an RPG and well that's whats done but would really like that little help back.
