as i have been using EQ2Maps(formerly on win7) for so many years, I have long-forgotten any subtle details of the initial install or any problems encountered or their resolution.
So then, if I may ask in light of the implementation of eq2maps on a "plain vanilla" default Linux-environed EQ2:
what, beyond the eq2.ini would be needed to assure eq2 displayed the updated in-game map?
Would these be the steps:
1. create EQ2MAP directory within EverQuest II directory containing contents of EQ2MAP_V2_090814.zip [is there a more recent update of the manual-only maps?]
2. create a file named
EQ2.ini also within EQ2 directory which contains (just?) the following lines:
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
3. ?...
I might expect there may be those whom are
well-versed in Linux to be able to make a script(?) or something that could facilitate the above, then-verified steps, which would be of an assist to all those whom use EQ2 under Linux(via Steam, or CrossOver, etc.).
Thank You again for your continued assistance
