the logout screen

I've recently set up the logout screen to switch between mine and my wife's accounts.
I have set it up so that EQ bypasses the patcher.
I have repeatedly verified the information in the datafile
but when I change character it tells me that my login was rejected.
the profit enabled login screen comes up and I am able to log in by dbl clicking on the same toon from that screen.

any suggestions?
