Would you know if Sony has any plans of properly supporting multi-core systems?
When I try to run other applications that do make use of multi-core setups I find that program being throttled because the core that is running Everquest has no resources available or the program regularly crashes because it needs balanced core loads.
It's just bad advice to suggest that someone upgrade to a multi-core system to increase performance when the game itself does not support multi-core processing.

I don't think it's bad advice at all. Multiple cores allow the game to max out one core and take full advantage of it while all the other programs and windows running in the background can chew on the second core in so doing leave EQ2 free to use 100% of it's chosen core.
Thats also great for multitasking... The game does have an in-game browser now but I still window-out quite often to use a 'real' browser.
