Caewensedai, the game hides the threat window once you zone into the Champion's Respite, although you can show it using /show_window MainHUD.Threat. The default keyboard command for the Tagging/Spell Monitor window is Ctrl+Shift+T or you can use /show_window MainHUD.TargetTag.

Donst works :(

Hello....

i have download your UI ..the Udater Tool but when i start the exe (as admin) i dont see any window...the prozess is open...but i cant make any choices...no windows..

mußt i open everquest first?

i have win7 64 bit...

any hints? what is wrong?

Sorry you're having trouble. When you start the program for the first time, a small dialog box opens asking you for a folder location. There is no taskbar button until you have chosen a folder and the full application opens, so it may appear that the app is not running if it gets hidden behind another window. Try closing all other programs before running the utility, to make sure the dialog is not getting buried under other windows. You don't need to have the game running while you are running the app.

Start Menu

I recently went from profit to Darqui for most of the windows...

One thing I do want to do however is use profits Start Menu button with all it's video/sound control shortcuts and the button that brightens the screen on click.


I tried replacing eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml with the one from my backup of the original profit UI , but it still loads the DarqUI one every time...

Firstly is this possible and if so...how would I do it?

The start button was officially combined into the experience window (eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml) a while back, so the ProfitUI version of the XML file you mentioned would need to be included in your custom window list (eq2ui_custom.xml). Give that a try and see if you can get it to show up.

Edit: I just took a closer look, and you would also need to add the ProfitUI video and audio control windows as separate lines into your custom window file. I'm pretty sure you can get this to work the way you want, although I'm at work so I can't test it to make sure.

With apologies to Silat and gm9, I have linked the files you need to get the Start button operational outside of the ProfitUI folder. They don't look as nice as the originals, but they should work. Unzip and drop the files into your custom UI folder. Log in to the game and type:

/show_window MainHUD.StartButton

If you already have an eq2ui_custom.xml, add the three <include> lines into it, otherwise use the entire file as-is. The four video profiles should already be in your main EQII folder since you have ProfitUI. The only thing I didn't include was the Control Center and Infocenter windows. I'll leave those to you.

Is it possible to dispay on the Exp Bar a Text with Current Exp in Letters and Procent? Taht would be very nice

and i dont have unterstand what the Timer is on the Clock...mhh

But the UI is very nice....only the xcraftwindow will i switch back to the one from Profit...hope i can make it

The countdown timer on the clock was added primarily to predict the recasting of certain NPC spells on raids, to counter them more efficiently. It's somewhat obsolete since the new spell listener was developed, but it may still be useful as a general purpose timer.

There are tooltips on the XP bars that have the text/numeric description, is this what you are wanting to show on the progress bar?

The Exp percent would be very nice
The Numbers are not so comfortable because it is only one number...ant see what i have and need...maybe im a little stupid...smile

how can i include the crafting window from profit? it was not right with only the tradeskill xml and include it in a custom.xml...cant see any graphics and text

LittleMagica, I dug out a tradeskill mod that I had started a while back and placed it on the update server this morning. It's a very simple side-by-side version of the default crafting window -- nothing funky, but I believe it will do what you need it to do.

It's keyboard-aware, meaning you can use Enter and Esc to start/stop a selected combine. There is a dropdown list of "favorites" that you can use to get ready for your next writ combine while you are finishing the first, and a couple of safeguards that will help prevent accidentally bugging out the window (which is easy to do with tradeskill windows that are modified in this way.) Give it a try and see if it will do.

I'm a total EQII newb (except for a couple month stint several years ago...) so it's more than likely I'm doing something wrong. But I can't get your UI to load for me at all. I followed along with your YouTube video.

Here's info taken from my ui.log:

Are you sure the UI is not loading? The only way to get the errorlog messages about the DarqUI include files is for the game to load the windows that ask for them.
