Shared Notes Not Saving

There's an option on the Inventory screen to save notes, both individual and shared. Lately the shared notes have been reverting to something I had there from the summer rather than saving properly.

I've tried it on multiple characters and tried saving a bunch of time to no avail. The individual notes appear to be saving okay.

I've looked all over here and the EQ forums for information, none that I can find.

I find this feature very handy and I'd love to get it working again. Any ideas?

Which file(s) are needed? Do I need to add anything to eq2ui_custom.xml ? How do I open the window in-game?

You only need eq2ui_mainhud_windowmanager.xml and eq2ui_mainhud_betamark.xml. It will be open by default when you log in, so you can get to the setup by clicking the blue gem in the upper left-hand corner of the window. To open the Window Manager manually, type /show_window MainHUD.WindowManager. Nothing needs to be added to eq2ui_custom.

Can you post that again for me please? I seem to always forget to turn it on myself so always having it on is a big help.

I really love this interface. Don't know how I would survive without it now. Thanks again for the hard work!

Inventory on first name in list only throws error

I have 9 toons I can check inventory on. My main is the first on the list due to it being alphabetized. If I start with the next name in line and go down the list, everything is fine. When I click on the first name, it throws an unhandled exception.

System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

I can post the full error here or send it to you if this is not enough for you to figure out what is going on. It is fairly long and didn't want to clog up the posts.

Celestial and Dauntless potions are in the cure potion dropdown and being tested right now. They will be on the updater once that's done which should be very soon. Thank you for posting.

1. character: XP bar size correct (798)
2. character: xp bar resized to 440. I used the Experience window in game to set size to 800 and saved.
3. character: 440. Saved it to 800 in game.
Back to 2. character: 800 (yay!)
Back to 3. character: 440 (bah). Saved to 800.
Back to 1. character: 798
Back to 2. character: 800
Back to 3. character: 800
4. character: 798
Back to 1. character: 798
Back to 2. character: 440
Back to 3. character: 440

So sometimes it seems to stick, but not always. Very odd.

For your info whenever it resizes back to 440 (I assume its 440 as its shrunk to about half the space that was used for the 800 size xp bar) the experience window always shows the saved value (798 or 800).

This should not be considered a solution, but open the XP bar file in Notepad (eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml) and near the top change the line to read
<Data Name="1" Tag="BarWidth" Value="798" />
Would be curious to know what your results are with this change. I ran through several characters with every combination I could think of and my XP bar never chose the wrong width. But I know this is a recurring issue because there was another user a while back who had the same thing happening. If I can duplicate the problem I can fix it.

Another experiment: Run through your characters as you did above but use true fullscreen mode. I'd also be curious to know if this changes anything.

If the value is 798, move the slidebar around a bit to raise the Save button, then save it at 798 from the window manager. Does the bar now behave correctly when you switch between these two characters? Also, do you usually run in fullscreen, windowed, or fullscreen-windowed mode?

It always works great on first login, but often whenever I camp (in game) to another character the XP bar resizes to the default (400). When I open the Experience window in game it shows 798, but when I click on the part in the window where you can resize the XP bar it snaps (in the window) immediately to show 400.

Seldom it doesn't resize when I camp to another character so it is a bit random (but most times it resizes upon camping to the second character after entering the game - the first character of a session is always correct). But when it first has automatically resized to the default lenght (400) it stays at this lenght whenever I camp to another charater, including the character I loaded first, that initially had the correct lenght on the xp bar (798).

Audible countdown

Either by adding a default voice that counts down from 5 or allow us to add custom sound files?

I tried some things and the game kept crashing, but it turns out there was a problem on Daybreak's end causing it to crash. They say it's fixed now, so try the audible countdown file shown at the top of this page. I think it will do what you requested.

Thanks for the info. I"ll post that bug over on the EQ2 forums and see if I can get them to fix the issue on their side.
