I like the idea of the updater, but I am still missing some pics of teh actual UI..

Any chance you will some from both solo and raid view ?
Also, what resolution did you make this for, and will there be probs if I use it with other resolutions than yours ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Re: Click to Cure / Target health read out

Well ... i don't want give up the icons that show what is on you, i was thinking just an overlay over the 4 icons so when you clicked that area it would just cast the cure spell so you don't have to click the right icon. But i guess this would only work for the priest classes, so never mind. I'll wait and see what you do the next update making the icons bigger might just do the trick.

Thanks for taking player consideration in to account.

Knowing exactly which detrimentals, how many, and whether or not they are curable is often important in an encounter no matter whether you're the one curing or the one getting cured. Back when the interface was first developed, priests still had discrete "Cure Trauma," "Cure Arcane," etc. spells, So the one-to-one mapping was required for click cures. Now that priest classes have an all-in-one Cure spell that handles most of the detrimentals, the possibility exists to combine the first 4 into a single button. But often you still want to see which ones have landed. I believe Aditu has done an interface that successfully combines them into the area of a single button like this. The game designers recently added the /cureplayer click-to-cure function, and so the icons need to stay segregated for players who prefer to use the cure buttons with that mechanic.

You might try simply overriding Cure Check for your priest classes. This would allow you to use the Cure Curse button for curses, and any of the other detrimental buttons for the other cures regardless of whether there was a detrimental active on that particular button.

The health percent of Target's Target (TT) is a good idea and it should be doable. In testing right now, the NPC spellcasting bar is being overlaid on the TT health bar area, which would be the first logical place to put the TT health percent. Let me see what I can do to keep everything readable, but this will very likely go into the update.

Are planing an update for the next expansion, I'm not sure i can go back to default group window as a healer in a raid.

Now that i have had some intimate time with it i have found some thing that slow me down a little.

Its with the click to cure part of the window the icons are small and i find myself missing them a lot when in a rush. I'm Wondering if there just need to be a 1 cure Button, and 1 Cure Curse button So then can be a little bigger, and give more room for another click spell spot for the Raid and group window. i under stand this might conflict with the other classes that just have one cure type. I don't if it could be where the Cure button just cast what ever spell you have. i Don't know all the details here in why we need all the separate buttons for each type, Would like to know if there is a reason for them.

Another thing i was wondering it there a way to have a numerical read out of the health of the target's target in the Hate meter window you have. When I'm targeting through the Tank i need to know when the mob hit a certain level of health so i can move out of the way of a AE or what ever i need to do. Right now all i can do it Mouse over the health bar the get the reading. Any way to get that to just be up all the time in the window?

Thanks again

Installing over another UI

I was wondering how do I install this if I already have another UI (Profit) already installed and auto updating. Also, do I have to reconfigure something for eq2 maps or just turn it off?

I apologize if there is already a write up on this.

P.S.
Thank you for the taking the time to work on this addon.

Hi, Mixis. Before the development of the configuration utility, I put quite a bit of effort into publishing complete custom documentation along with the primary UI pieces (Group, Raid and Threat/Detrimental). Based upon the questions I received on this website and in private emails, it was clear that the external help files weren't being consulted very much. I think most players just want to get their UI set up ASAP without having to "study" anything, so as a response I adopted the contextual help model that you see in the current utility. When you get to something you don't understand, put your mouse over it and the context help appears with no extra effort, hopefully answering the question on the spot.

I've tinkered around with a general help "tutorial" tab that appears on first use of the utility with instructions for navigating through the tabs, updater, global settings and window-specific option tabs. EQII players who use custom UIs tend to be a fairly savvy community, so it's hard to put anything on the tab that's useful to a new user without being insultingly basic. Time is tight getting some improvements finished in time to overlap with the upcoming expansion, but I'll see what I can do about adding some useful step-by-step info. In the meantime, if there's anything in the interface that you have a question about, please ask here or in a PM. I'm always glad to hear from DarqUI users.

Post Re: EXP Bar

Purgpow, thank you for your comments. If you have your Experience bar very close to the top or bottom edge of the game window, it may snap back to full size every time you log in. There are two ways to fix this. 1) Move the Experience bar a few pixels away from the edge of the window, or 2) Set the snapping behavior to false in the UI file.

To do 2), go to the Save dialog in the window utility and click "View Code" next to the Experience bar. In the editor, on the second line down from the top, change the value from true to false: EnableSnapping="false" and click Save at the bottom of the editor. This should stop the auto-resizing behavior until you download the next version of the window. A custom control in the utility for this setting is not possible, so it has to be changed manually.

More Sets

with the fact that u can purchase more character slots i would love to see more sets added. I know how to manually add them if needed but the UI Utility is so much easier

Chat channel alerts are coming from the Threat/Detrimental window. To turn the alert off permanently, uncheck the Curse alert checkbox in the utility:

Alternatively, you can turn off the Curse alert while in game from the Threat window options panel.

Your character's name should appear in the Label line in place of Set1. This is the only way non-US clients can decide what class is loaded. Use the utility to change "Set1" to your Fury's name, and you should see priest cures the next time you log in.

<Data Name="Label" Value="Set1" Class="Fury" DispLevel="90" />

and the code in it isnt wrong, it says fury:

<Data Name="Label" Value="Set1" Class="Fury" DispLevel="90" />

but again, isnt this only the code for the "normal" spells which i can define? not the cures? cause all these spells, which are shown in the first line in my picture, i can use without any problems. the second line, which should be for the cures, and which are empty squares, are broken for me.
