yraen, thanks for your post. Channelers are currently using the "Other" cure spec (which is usually empty) when they should be using the Priest spec. This is changed on my end and is part of a larger update planned for later this month. I can probably get updated Group and Raid windows onto the updater to fix this ahead of time, so check for updates later today.

Umanami, try setting up the spell timer window using the DrumsUI interface, then copy the window and the eq2ui_custom.xml into the DarqUI folder, and then copy the configuration file(s) from one POI folder to the other. I have not tried it, but I can't think of a reason why it would not work this way.
The DarqUI Prestige Stack Monitor has two slots that can monitor non-Prestige maintained spells similar to the other spell timer mods. You will get the icons, ward amounts, timers, etc., but not the target of the spell (although the tooltip currently shows this). I have made some modifications to the Stack Monitor to give it more slots and make it more suitable as a general spell timer, so hopefully during the holidays I'll have time to finish and test the changes.

Primogen1, all versions of the DarqUI Window Utility are built for .NET version 3.5. I don't have .NET 4.5 (included with Windows 8.1) so I can't speak to potential compatibility issues with that version. No new libraries were referenced with the 2.3.3.3 utility build.
You may continue to use utility version 2.3.3.2 which will still download all of the new DarqUI files. There will be a couple of minor settings that you won't be able to tweak (tradeskills stat display, player window status switches). And you will need to use the external spell suggestions if you want to use Quick Setup with a Channeler.

I'll take another look at the hotbars to see if there is a way to offer an opt-in for the disappearing spinners. Players transitioning to a custom UI have made it clear they don't like hotbar layout surprises, so I have tried to stay away from structural changes that displace the default pixel sizes. Seems like this is another case that would benefit from reworking the updater to give a choice between alternate versions.

Two things:
(1) Question - Are the bottom chat tabs only available in DarqUI Live? I can't seem to find the option anywhere in DarqUI.
(2) Suggestion - Would it be possible create an option to remove the deadspace and artwork from the hotbar spinners, thus having the spinner appear inside the bar? (example: http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/full5050.jpg) It just really throws off my spacing when I have the spinners on for certain characters they are useful for (such as my Templar) seeing as I run my hotbars in 2x6.

Kielty, it depends on which error message you are getting. If it says "could not be created in the specified location" then it probably means your UI path is not correct. Go to the Settings tab, click "Browse" and find your EverQuest II game folder, then the UI subfolder, then click on the DarqUI folder. If there is no DarqUI inside the \UI folder, click "Create folder" and create it manually. Highlight DarqUI and click OK. The last part of the UI path in the utility should be UI\DarqUI, not simply \UI.

fencejumper, your raid macro command should read 10 rezzing TNAME. The %T mnemonic was revamped in the DarqUI Live version of the raid window, but I see the help text was never updated when I ported the code. There is a new version of the utility coming for the ToV expansion, and I'll either change the help text on the command or do something in the utility to make it more clear. Thank you for pointing it out.
Incidentally, the Raid window version you are using will also take the TGROUP and TSLOT macro mnemonics. TSLOT replaces %TS, and TGROUP gives the raid group number as in:
Rezzing TNAME in group TGROUP
Rezzing Fencejumper in group 3

How the heck do i set an audible sound when JUST I get cursed lets say on Fitz encounter?
I Went to the "Threat Window" and on the bottom it says "Detriment Alert Defaults". I checked the Orange / Tan "Curse" box on that with a differnt audible sound than the raid or group i used "coin_cha_ching". But when im doing Fabled ped of sky, or Fitz when i get cursed i hear absolutly nothing. I only hear the "Click" if someone in the raid gets the curse.
In the threat window in the daqui util under detriment alert defaults, if you hover over it it says at the bottom "Check the impairment types you want alerts for by default, and choose a sound effect" I did that. Then it says "You can quickly change the impairment types that receive alerts in game from the options panel"
How do i get to this options panel? can anyone help me out please. One of the reasons i got DarqUI was for the audible curse on myself for those 2 fights. thanks.
|
Xormeister, if you move your mouse into the upper portion of the threat window where the detriment cures are, you will see two gold buttons appear. Click the gold button on the right-hand side to get the detriment options page to show up.
Some of the sound effects like coin_cha_ching are fairly quiet and may be missed if you have louder sounds overlapping on the group or raid detriments. Sound_gong works pretty well for the personal threat detriment sound, and "ding" is extremely loud and cannot be missed.
