Category: MiscellaneousMulti-characters Spell Timer |
Based on [DragowulfUI] SpellTimer Window and inspired by Alge. Detail introduction can be found there.
This modification use hotbar 10 to detemine which spells to be monitored for the duration.
Would be convenient for those who have more than one characters. And spells monitored can be changed immediately by dragging spells onto hotbar 10 without restarting game client or reloading ui.
Installation is much like other custom UI pieces, extract to your customUI folder, edit eq2ui_custom.xml and add
Code:
<include>eq2ui_custom_Luosky_modified_dragowulfui_spelltimer.xml</include>
inside the Page element.

nice
Good idea to use the hotbar. but with the original, you can keep track of a proc.
easy exemple of this: Amazing Reflexes.
it is a buff the brigands have that procs an effect called Reflexes.
Can you also list the effects you want to keep track of or it only uses hotbar 10?

You can still edit the _Luosky_modified_DragowulfUI_SpellTimerSettings.txt and add the name of the effects you want to track to the 13-15 slots.Just replace the value of SpellName with the exact effect name shown in your maintain effect window.

Too bad, that this mod only shows the procs of the maintained window. All the interesting procs are in the spelleffects window. So the mod doesnt work with many gearpieces...

SOE only gives the data in the maintained window. There is no way to get the spell name in spell effect window or detrimental window atm.

I just get.. Nothing..

what spells did you put in hotbar 10?
Since SOE only gives UI the spell data in the maintained window, the spells you put in hotbar 10 should be the spells that can appear in the maintained window. Or it can't be monitored.
And did you install it in the right way? It still works after GU 57.

I'm having the same issue and I think I figured out why.
In the _Luosky_modified_DragowulfUI_SpellTimerSettings.xml file there are some japanese/chinese characters in the code. Is that how it should be?
Quote:
<Page Name="13" SpellName="非技能类的buff(fill any spell name appearing on your maintain effect window to monitor, such as equipment proc buff)" />
<Page Name="14" SpellName="非技能类的buff(fill any spell name appearing on your maintain effect window to monitor, such as equipment proc buff)" />
<Page Name="15" SpellName="非技能类的buff(fill any spell name appearing on your maintain effect window to monitor, such as equipment proc buff)" />

yeah.It is just explaination in Chinese and English. You can change it to the spell/proc names you want to monitor. Leave them there unchanged shouldn't cause any problem.

I had the same issue and I think I know how to fix your problem. The include line needs to be added inside of the page tag. See below foran example. I am also running ProfitUI so yours might look different if you are using the default or a different UI.

<include>eq2ui_custom_Luosky_modified_dragowulfui_spelltimer.xml</include>

Hello. Would it be possible to keep order of casted spells ?
I mean like I cast SPELL1 and when it goes off SPELL2 will take its place. But if I cast SPELL1 again it stays on possition 2. Would be possible to make it fixed so SPELL1 would everytime on 1st possition when its casted ?

A humble request
First off, thanks for keeping the project going. Guys like you provide a great service to us players.
One suggestion I have is that unlike the old version I cannot specify specific spells rather than using the dynamic data entries in the first 12 slots. I don't wish to use linking to hotbar 10 so I've had to go back to the older version so I can simply specify the name of spells themselves.
Any chance of making the mod be able to work that way? (Or if it is supposed to work that way then any idea why I can only get the last 3 spots to work specifying spell names even when changing the entries to read "SpellName=" as I expected?)
Thanks.
