That won't work anymore because I'm transitioning to a new Updater version, and the filelist is not compatible.

Thing is that that web installer does not display any directory path to which is installs the DrumsUIpdater. It never places the DumsUI Updater icon. The only way to run the updater for me is to click on drumsui.jnlp then go through the entire install process all over again. At the end of which the application starts and updates but once I close the app it simply disappears from my system. No Icon to click to get the app to run again except the drumsui.jnlp. I have added all the Java console exceptions as out lined on the instructions, I also check my spyware quarantine as well as Av quarantine to make sure that neither of those programs where interfering with it also added the URL to the exception list on both. So weird that I can not get it to leave a icon to quickly launch the app.
I just Read your post, wanted to say thank you for your UI and this Updater. I could not imagine playing EQ2 without your UI.

The updated Updater is now available for download. It comes packaged as an Installer which should hopefully make it very easy for everyone to use. See details above, and refer to the Support topic for help.
Please don't post support questions here, it's much harder to notice and keep track of them.

Does this new updater make it easier to support side-by-side installations for boxing ? and keeping them updated without having to change options constantly etc?
And thanks a bunch for hte hard work drums!

Right-click and Ignore the files you don't want to patch in the Updater. Nothing is downloaded until you click Update.

Not sure what you mean. Functionally, this "new" Updater works just like the previous. It was merely updated due to a Java certificate expiration, and happened to come with some tweaks.

Nods, i realized that was just wondering if with it being an installed app now, if it was possible to do multiple installs of it to different locations and have each of them use separate configs and eq2 game locations as well.
EDIT: Think i found the answer myself. unless he enumerates the config folders, they are placed in %appdata%\DrumsUI Updater\ so i doubt there is the option, any chance you can forwaard this to the dev of the updater?

The installer part is something I created/bundled. The Updater itself can normally just be unzipped anywhere, so it isn't actually required to be "installed". I just did this to make it easier for the end-user.

Auto updater issues
Hello all, I read thru the notes, updated jave, added the exceptions and still not able to use the auto patcher. The exception list is rather lengthly but here is a snippet of it.
Exception thrown while getting hashes
java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://www.advancedmod.com/DrumsUI/live/hashes.txt
I have also removed all of drums and reinstlled manually. The UI is working with the exception of the merc window. But would like to make sure the updater is working properly. Any other suggestions?

Download the new Updater from this page, you're still using the old one.

Thanks
New one is downloaded and working correctly. Although I am still unable to summon a merc in the traditional way?
Thanks!

It's an issue with the persona (character) window. SOE changed the mercenary pane around again, and the old code no longer works. Drumstix will probably be releasing an updated version soon. You should be able to replace your merc by actually going to them and hiring them through their dialog, that's unaffected by the merc pane issue.
