First of all, thanks for making this UI! It's the only one I tried that worked for me, and it's great Having an issue though with the updater since I last updated my UI....here's the error when I open it (seems to update fine when I close it, though I'm new to EQ so I'm not 100% if it's working correctly or not).

when i /loadui and choose drum ui, everything is all over the place. what am i doing wrong?

Loadui is not really the proper way to set your UI. Also, the windows are going to be wherever you have them placed. My windows are just customized for functionality/usability, not a set-location skin.

could you please help... I am trying to use the auto updater but every time I use it , it directs me to the Java DL page I have done it a few times now and getting quite annoyed as it was working fine before the latest game updates

Since downloading Drum's UI Updater I do not get any icons over the NPC's. Anyone know a remedy?

First of all .... I really appreciate all the work you do on the UI. It's the best one out there IMHO. I've even converted some guildmates to Drums from Profit.

Jan. 2014, tried to run the updater today and got the error messg. " Unable to launch the application". I updated Java and it still wont run. It's not my firewall because it ran with that before and I haven't changed any settings.
Details include .. Missing required permissions manifest attribute in main jar: http://updater.pala.de/DrumsUI.jar
The there is a launch file tab and an Exception tab with details under each.
I can post either tab.

Hello all, I notice that I am no longer able to summon a merc? I see on the patch notes they made a chance to the summon your merc's, but not a way to it in drums. Has anyone else run into this, or found a way to summon them until a patch can be uploaded?

Those of you having trouble updating drums with the latest java update take a look here should solve your problem:

Thank you for the info. I was able to follow this instruction and get the app to work again.

My question is. Is the install supposed to place a DrumUI shortcut on the desktop. Because for some reason I there is no icon after installing and I can not find the install directory. To run the app I have to use drumsui.jnlp an re-download and install the app every time I want to use it. I have to be doing something incorrect, please advise.

It's always put an icon on my desktop and one in the start menu as far as I can remember. You may also check the location that you downloaded it to is may have put a shortcut in there as well. did you make sure to run it as administrator?

Hi..I have read the suggested solutions for the Drums UI issue and I am still not able to get it to work. I also do not get a desktop icon like I used to which enabled me to be able to right click on it and select Run as Administrator. I am very frustrated. Should I do the manual install instead? Please help me soon if possible. Also, when you do the work around, what address are you supposed to put in the Java Security tab for allowed addresses. Thank you kindly in advance.

Here is How to fix it. Follow these steps.

1st Go to windows search : Type in search field " Configure Java "

in the search window that appears, select " Configure Java "

2nd ) Follow these steps.

Steps to Add URL to the Exception Site list:
Go to the Java Control Panel (On Windows Click Start and then Configure Java)
Click on the Security tab
Click on the Edit Site List button
Click the Add in the Exception Site List window

Add url to Exception Site list: ADD THIS RULE TO THE EXCEPTION LIST :
http://updater.pala.de

Click in the empty field under Location field to enter the URL
Example: http://updater.pala.de
( URL should begin with http:// or https://)
Click OK to save the URL that you entered.
Click Continue on the Security Warning dialog

NOW GO BACK TOO: http://www.advancedmod.com/DrumsUI/ AND DOWNLOAD AND RUN FROM LOCATION.
