otherwise its a great UI, has more than i really need to look at in so much less space than the original, great work!

Heya, First, GREAT UI. This is my first use of a custom UI ever (I have WASTED 70 levels at the default UI LoL) anyway.
The install went slick as snot for me, as long as the directions are followed I see no problems whatsoever, except for what's noted here ^^^.
My attempt at a solution: I am going to re-install EQ2mapupdater (or atleast look at the UI files it uses) and see if merging the mapupdater back into the profitUI folder works. I'm hoping this works. All my non-SoE maps are toast, and any/all POI are gone, as well as map reverting to everything being 'non-discovered'. Again, AWESOME job with this one, highly recommended.
Some solutions to other's posts:
Regarding hot-bars switching #'s (toolbar switching 1 to 2, etc (cuz the toggle is 'inside' the first icon on the bar): R-click the bar, go to Window Settings, and change to either "Frame Only" or "None". reason for this (as the instructions indicate) is that Frame + Titlebar contains the toggle for hotbar # switching. Also, useful to know that (after unlocking the toolbar) you can move it by grabbing a small square in the Upper Right of the toolbar. I did this to move the 2 toolbars on the right under the 4 in the center (I use all 6 bars).
Resizing the 'letter-box': This is a UI window. I recommend moving one of the other windows out of tthe way temporarily so you can get at it. R-click, go to window settings, unlock it, and DISABLE clickthrough. Hit accept, the movement point for resizing was actually slightly above where the border stopped. I moved mine up about 60 pixels or so (to accomodate those toolbars and extended the chat-window too).
Regarding not able to chat: Can be kinda tricky: The communications in this UI are split up into different 'tabs' on the main chatbox. Seperated into /ooc, /guild, /gsay, /etc So anyway, I just picked a tab (Chat, actually), R-click, go into chat options, and enabled all channels to go there. While you are at it, make sure all of the level channels are enabled as you wish them to be, I had to reset mine, along with custom channels.
So, some minor tweaks to fit my playstyle, and this UI totally rocks.
Sorry this so lengthy, just trying to be helpful

see ya'll later.

<EDIT TO ADD>
EASY to fix map issues with this one: In your UI directory will be EQMap folder. Go into that folder, ctrl-A (select all) ctrl-C (copy), then go into profitUI base directory and paste directly there. allow it to overwrite folders as it sees fit (It won't interact with any of the profit files, from what I can tell). You'll get your discovered maps, and all POI back as they were.
