Comfirmed to work...

on ThorUI. I am currently using ThorUI AutoUpdater version. The first time I installed this add-on, it left my spoiler window as a black background with blue letters and no control buttons showing. I checked to see if the <include> line had been removed from my eq2_mainHUD file, and it had. I put the line back into that file and also copied and pasted the complete file to my main thorui directory. I then loaded up the game and it worked just fine. If anything else goes wrong, Ill keep you posted. AWESOME add-on btw. Keep up the good work.

EQ2 Interface Should consider adding this into their Auto Updater / UI that way it will always be updated. It cant be too hard to add this in to a working product. A Merger I demand a Merger!!!!

Its a great concept but updating it I bet is a bit time consuming!

I Submitted a POLL on the EQ2Map Forums asking them to merge the 2 projects, who knows maybe you will get lucky and your UI addon will go Mainstream!

Removed everything, started from scratch and it's fine.

Totally sorry to bother...should have tried that at least once prior to posting.

Can't think of any reason the spoiler would affect the 'X'. Mine is definitely intact.

I believe the file that controls the 'X' is in images\maps\icons_map3.dds - which is not modified by the spoiler. Do your groupmembers show up on your map? Those markers are in the same graphic file.

No Waypoint Marker

Strange behaviour. Was running ThorUI. Removed it, cleared out my server.char.something.ini files.

Installed Profitui and this addon. The spoiler window works great, when I click on an item in the list, it generates a waypoint in the form of a glowing trail, but doesn't update the map with an "X" to indicate the final destination as it did before. Same thing with manually typed waypoints...no actual "X" to show where you are going..just the yellow "trail".

Did I miss something?

FYI: I went to The Down Below to see if it suffered from the same problem as The Condemned Catacombs but it did not. I plan on heading back to CC soon so I'll double check to see if the problem persists.

Hmmm, I'll have to do some thinking on that one and see if a solution presents itself.

I know the eq2map hardcore guys are working on integrating something very like the map spoiler project into the eq2map window itself, so depending on how fast they progress, there might not be many more updates to this mod as the integrated version will naturally replace this seperate mod.

I recently found my own Map Spoiler broke in the same way as you're describing, and when I checked it out, another mod had removed the include line. You might want to double check it (or triple check if you already have). It seems that pesky include line just doesn't want to hang around.

Absolutely love this mod. I'm thinking that within a couple of days of using it I'll wonder how I lived without it. Thank you so much for the time and effort.

As has been suggested, it would be nice if we could (as an option) tie it into our map window so that whenever we Open / Close via the M key this particular window will open and close as well.

Another suggestion, along the same lines, would be to have the little Open button on the map itself also close the spoiler window if it's already open.

Either way, this mod is excellent. Thanks again.

EDIT: after further testing I love this mod even more than before. A couple of observations though:

1. The scroll rate for the scroll buttons and the mouse is rather slow.

2. The Condemned Catacombs uses the same map as The Down Below so on the spoiler window the information for both zones overlaps each other and is unreadable. I'm not sure if this is the same as for when you are in The Down Below but I'll check it out and report back.

Considering that, you might want to double check any zones that share maps.

According to the ProfitUI install instructions (I've never instaled it, so I had to read the instructions), it appears that you should unzip the map spoiler into the ProfitUI directory.

I notice Profit doesn't come with EQ2MAP. Since you didn't mention it specifically, I have to ask... you did install EQ2MAP, right?

By not getting anything, you mean that no window appears at all? Not even a black one? Could you try "/show_window MainHUD.MapSpoiler" and let e know if the window then shows?

Installed this per instructions using the ProfitUI and not getting anything.

Double checked the .xml file addition and the line is in there correctly.

I've tried installing mapSpolier under the/ProfitUI and under /UI (and both) with no luck.

Suggestions?

I don't use nightfall, so I had to download the mod and read the direction on how to install it, but... if you followed the directions in nightfall, then just unzipping this mod in the Fetish directory should be enough to get it working. If you are asked about overwriting plugin_7.xml, say yes. Then just modify the eq2ui_mainhud.xml according to the directions above.

Fetish Nightfall

I went over and over the files and this thread and cant figure out why this mod wont work. Can you please put a indepth list of what file goes in what folder. I'm useing Fetish Nightfall with the mini map option and the command center add on if that might make a diff. Thanks again.
