GU 51 Update
Description:
This started out mostly as me just messing around. But I actually liked it when I loaded it up to look.
The theme is loosely inspired by the FFXI group window. So, if you played that game, it should look somewhat familiar.
Features:- Click-To-Cure - I finally made a healer alt, so click-to-cure seemed like a good idea.
- Tank-finder[tm] - make a macro that when triggered auto-targets a single member of your group or your pet
- Tank-assist[tm] - make a macro that when triggered auto-assists a single member of your group.
- Pet Sounder - The bugle-looking icon in the pet control window. Engage it and when your pet dies or comes uncharmed it'll play a sound.
Changes from Mother's Group Windows:- Combined the files for Group, Player, Pet, Target, Implied Target
- Made graphical changes to the health and power bars that I think look sharper, and could improve performance slightly (<1 fps, but enough of those changes can add up)
- Mouse over group window when not in combat will display level and class of group members
- Changed the macros for tank finder and tank assist so they should work more consistently
- Added support for curse indicator and click to cure curse
- Changed click-to-cures to use /useabilityonplayer
Version history:
1.1.2
Fixed a bug where click-to-cures in player window were still using the old cure trauma, elemental, etc.
1.1.1
It wouldn't be a Mother's interface if it was uploaded bug free...
Fixed a bug where clicking on a groupmember wouldn't target them.
Fixed a bug where click-to-cures in group returned an error message.
While I was at it, added the voice chat indicator/volume adjust thingie.
1.1.0
GU51 update
Pet health added. Should be a cyan bar below the mana bar. Pet name pops up when you mouse over the group window, just like player class and level.
Click-to-cures should be the current version. One cure and a cure curse.
1.0.0
Initial Release
To Install:
If you already have an EQ2UI_Custom.xml file in your custom ui folder, do not overwrite it. Just add the line:
Code:
<include>_Mothers_Styles.xml</include>
before the </Page> line.
With the rest of the files, just unzip into your custom ui folder overwriting any file with the same name already there.
Instructions to use:
TankFinder[tm]. There is a radio button just to the right of each group-member's HP display. If you click there, you mark that player as the tank and a little white box will appear to indicate tank status.
To target the tank, make a macro:
Code:
/target_none
/show_window MainHUD.GroupMembers.Target
TankAssist[tm] Technology. Just like TankFinder[tm], but does a /assist instead of a /target. Hey, it was a request.
To assist the tank, make a macro:
Code:
/target_none
/show_window MainHUD.GroupMembers.Assist

I hated how tiny the bars were for me on FFXI. These look way more kooler.

Well, there's a lot more screen space to play with in EQ2 than the FFXI people had. So, I started with that as a base and experimented until I got something I liked. Nearly all my interfaces start as an experiment of some kind and end up usable...
Anyhow, glad you like.

I might take a look at some of the click to cast mods and see if I can't bring the functionality over. Been kinda on a down-swing of my interface writing and an up-swing of game playing lately.
Of course, that's kinda a good thing because I usually then return to interface writing with a lot of ideas

great job! i really like this mod, but i have one request (or question) is it possible to have the Tankfinder behave just like assist so when i press the macro key (target_none etc thingie) i get the tanks target instead of just getting the tank as target ? (some tanks change target during fight and that can be quite irritating, and i also like when my target's name glow/blinks etc heeh so i have a more clear overhead on the situation)
is it possible via a modified macro to do that ? or would it require you to do too much work ?
thnx in advance

I doubt it would be hard, but I really don't use assist, so I'll have to look into it. The hard work is done in getting the target thing going.
How does assist work? Is it /assist <player_name> or something different?

yep /assist <player_name>
sorry about the long reply (though im pretty sure you already checked the assist) but i kinda forgot about it, used another one instead but yours is way better looking so the assist function would make it perfekt!

I got several bugs and a few suggestions.
problems:
1) The percentages doesn't work for me. I can see the bar going down or the power going less but the percentages stay all at 100%!
2) The assist and target macro doesn't work as well, when the tank has a pet. Then the tank's pet is always being assisted. That means no target.
As another feature: would it be possible for you also to show the class and level of the group members always?
Thanks for this great looking ui mod!!!

I didn't think click to cure was such a big deal until I tried it on this mod. This is my absolute fave group window, and I got it because of its appearance, the fact that its can be vertical, and for its #hp/mp feature. The click to cure was a bonus, but I've actually use it!
Though if you're taking requests, I'd like to suggest adding F2-F6 target keys.

This mod is rather useful, I have been playing a healer about 2 years ago but none ever since and now this helps me with keeping the group alive.
Could I just suggest to make a small .txt file to include the useful macros like
Quote:
To assist the tank, make a macro:
Code:
/target_none
/show_window MainHUD.GroupMembers.Assist
Or
To target the tank, make a macro:
Code:
/target_none
/show_window MainHUD.GroupMembers.Target
|
It would be very useful for those like me that are not particularly good with Macro scripting.
Thanks

Tank Finder
I'm having trouble with the Tankfinder macro. It works great if the tank does not have a pet, but if he does, it only targets the pet. If he uses the /pet hide command, it goes back to working normally. I tried this both with and without the ?target_none command. It seems people have gotten this to work for them, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or their tanks just didn't have deity pets up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
