Arts icons flash again!
Hi,
After GU29, It flash icons that arts become ready-to-use, but Rotary Inventory overwrites eq2ui_IconStyles.xml with old styled one. So we can't see flash.
My friend tell me how to recover this feature. This is the result of compare new IconStyles.xml with old one.
http://www.eq2interface.com/patches/live_11.14.06/eq2ui_IconStyles.html
Just add lines 2-12 to Rotary Inventory's one. It works.

umm.. is this supposed to turn any filled bag slots into a circle? i like the inventory, but the bags just look silly.

Personally, I find the white border around the status text difficult to see.
Excellent mod. Visually unique, clean presentation, nice inclusion of the stats section. Good work.

Thanks for repairing
And, I got what you said finally
I also think that white bordered fonts are hard to see...

Recently, most bags have background colored in black. So I guess you hardly aware that bag slots are circled... Try to other bag UIs may helps...

I am aware of it. The reason I didn't post this fix sooner is because of it. I've been isolating sections inside the UI. I'll keep trying. Just thought this would fix the section you told me about next I'll change the Font back to normal around the Status.
I'm beginning to think the section I need to change to isolate the inventory items to make them circular is hard coded.
I can isolate the inventory from the bags and it all looks fine in the UI editor but when I run the game the Inventory items are still square in the inventory.
I'll start a forum thread about it and list some of what I'm doing for Mr. Bobble maybe he can tell me which section I need to modify.

I wasn't sure what you were talking about on this for a while. I am returning after a couple of months on deployment, so I had to update my UI. In doing so I left out a few files. By doing that my bags looked normal, but in the inventory I was missing the circle around the icons. So my bags looked fine and the inventory looked like a bunch of semi-transparent circles without a white border. I thought it looked fine. However, i recently updated to your latest version and now I have the circles all over my bags (inside the bags). So now I know what you're talking about. As a temporary fix, it looks a lot better to remove the border from the slots (inventory and bags). The circles aren't that critical to the inventory window itself, but they hurt the bags a lot.
EDIT: I don't know why mine looks the way it does, but it all seems to be about the eq2ui_IconStyles.xml file. I don't know if this will work, but this is what I have:

This results in no borders in the inventory or bags. Personally I think it looks much better than the circles in the bags.

hehe I love the invisible backgrounds I have an idea now with that in mind. I'm going to redo the inventory placeholder the icons to look a bit cleaner since no borders. I'll repost once I come up with some new graphics until then I can either repost this with your modified Styles or leave it and anyone wishing to use yours can simple copy the contents into their Styles through notepad overwriting anything in it.

Cereduic ... heeey when you coming back to Restoration man!!
And taking the download too hehe.
EDIT: For some reason, the paperdoll of my character is being covered by the circle of the UI. So the head and face is covered, looking different than your screenshot. Anyone know why this is?

GU 40 Update?
I was wondering if we could get an update to this to add in the appearance tabs and Game Update 40 compliance. Great mod, just needs to be updated.

I agree, out of all the inventory mods, this one is by far the most original. In fact the way I have my UI setup it just wouldn't be the same without this mod LOL. Crossing my fingers for an update!!!

Appearance
Absolutely Awesome UI mod here man, it rocks!
Only 1 thing i can say to put it down, and that is that it lacks the appearance feature.
Hope ya workin on it bud, but its such a good mod, i dnt mind changing back to usual inventory when i need to change appearance!
Also, if you want to quickly change ur appearance, use the following:
/loadui default
that will take you to default UI, so u can change ur appearance
Then use /loadui <UI Folder Name goes Here>
But would be nice if it could have appearance tab on it.
And then type /load_uisettings if you have had your UI rearranged, and select ur previous setting.
Also, if possible could you bring the Race and Names to front please, because half of it is being covered by the corner of the character view.
Apart from that, all is well, VERY nice UI indeed
Faemous

Re: installing inventory
OK open your windows explorer and navigate to the UI folder
Normally it's c:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI, inside it you should see another folder named Default.
Create a folder inside UI and call it MyUI so the path will be c:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\MyUI.
Unzip the contents of the RotaryInventory4.0.zip inside this folder.
After you run the game in your chatbar type /loadUI MyUI.
That should change your Inventory window.
Now to get it to do this automatically every time read Dolby's entry below.
