Am I the only having problems with the client crashing using this UI? It happens as it is loading the UI resources -- I have followed the directions for installing the UI properly, are there some extra steps involed that i need to know about?

I did see the comment earlier about the .net framework, but it was already installed on my computer. I did upgrade it to the first service pack, but i still crash.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I've noticed a few issues in 3.2 - they may have been in earlier versions too, but I can't say for sure. Similarly, I don't know if they're bugs or just me, but I figured it is probably worth bringing them up:

1) If you try to set the font larger than ~22 in the secondary (upper right) chat window, you crash right to desktop. Other than the crash this has no obvious deleterious effects.

2) If you open a 4th hotbar, it comes up as another "primary" hotbar. This can be REALLY inconvenient if it doesn't open on the same setting as your actual primary hotbar. For example, on my UI, the straight numbers are hotbar 1, the control-# are hotbar 2, and the alt-# are hotbar 3. If I open a 4th hotbar, it ALSO gets numbers and activates with hotbar 1 if I push a hotkey. The 4th (and subsequet hotbars) should be "blank" as far as keyboard hotkeys go. If you manage to jerk around the bars to get the 4th hotbar blank, then exit the game, when you come back, it will be assigned numbers again.

I'll try replacing my character settings ini like you said.

Anyways, I have another question: Regarding the Custom Preset bar, is it possible to edit the xml file in order to change one of the Custom Preset buttons to open my notepad instead of showing flora or something? What line can I edit to make it open my notepad? I know the command: "/show_window MainHUD.Notes" should work in game, but where do I put that?

I have changed alot in my chatwindows and have no problems with losing settings when I log on/off except the size thingy, but that is a common problem with the new font.

sounds like you got some corrupted game files, this is the first time I have heard of this, also I did make a change with some of the windows. Did you try deleting your character ini files and use one of the ones I included? that may help otherwise I can't remember which main file will cause this - usually the eq2_recent.ini.

also for everyone who hates the new font you can go into options/User Interface/uncheck "smooth fonts" to get it back to normal

Other people are replacing it with the old EQ2Arial font with some complete UI sets, I believe.

Anyway, your combination of Fetish's Nightfall and TyeJae's Steel mod is a wonderful idea. I absolutely loved it... until I logged off for the night. When I came back, 3 of my 4 chat windows were gone, as well as the Quest Title window that shows Crush, Pierce and Slash stats some other thing. I have to manually create my chat windows again, resize them and sort through which channels they use. But, I cannot get that Quest Title window back up. Every time I log off and come back on, those 3 chat windows (aside from my primary "Always Chat Here" window - that stays, which is the fourth chat) and still the Quest Title window is still missing.

Is there some way to prevent these things from disappearing upon game closure? Your UI mod *would* be the mod I use all the time, other than this defect. Please help, Aeeolag. You're my only hope...

the issue is from the new font soe introduced - I think there is a way to change back to the old font but don't know how yet

Im having alot of trouble with the mailbox window. Simply I can't see it. I choose "check mail" (or what ever it sais) and the mailbox stops blinking but the window for checking/sending mail never shows. Don't know if its bugged or if is just pops up out of view.

I use the 1280x1024 setting file.

further more I am having trouble with the text size. Even if I change the size to 14 it always starts up with size 19?

Can someone plz help me?

Or better use the eq2ui_journals_quest.xml file from the Fetish Nightfall v4.2 Theme, it looks better

Until this is patched, you can work aroudn the quest journal issue by copying the file eq2ui_journals_quest.xml from the Default UI directory to the night steel UI directory.

I crash after just sitting around for a few minutes, also I can not see any options when i click on the eq button. and when I right click i get no options either.
