i love this little UI.. i decided to get the sel updating one.. and noting i try after three separate downloads will make the thing work.. anyone have any ideas?

I have been using this version of EQ@ maps for about 2 months. It's a great source of information but it does not give a field for waypoints. Is there something wrong with my version or does this version not offer waypoints for the map?

how did you get it to work with vista? all seems fine till after charctor select it stops on receiving zone info and will not go into game.

i downloaded and installed .net framework 1.1 and 2.0 nothing worked... when i try to open it says

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0xc30 (1476), thread id=oxc30 (3120).

Click Ok to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

I tried both options none worked.

Would it be possible to like, add a search for the maps? It's nice that it shows what I'm looking for, but not fun to use 20 min to find it.

I am having difficulty with my EQ2 map. When I enter in a POI I don't get an "X" to mark the spot, so to speak. I've tried re-downloading the program but it did not fix the problem. Help!

The waypoint issue is with SOE. The trail is set to disappear without the map until you get within a certain range of the location. If you want to alter that you can override this feature by opening your waypoints after the map has been closed and select the location listed there. You can then close your waypoint window and the trail will remain until you reach your destination or turn it off.

Hi,
I have mixed feelings about this program. Sad to see it does not let you set the lvl of enemy you are after. But more so, When I click on a destination and the golden trail appears leading to it, it suddenly vanishes when you close or shrink the map, every single time. Way too frustrating. Any help before I unload the program?

This is an issue to do with map fog. The first thing you should do when you log in is to uncheck "map fog" on the EQ2MAP UI. Thereafter, when you zone you will not have the problems you describe. If map fog is left defaulting to on then there will be zones (some not all) where hovering over the POI's do not yield information. I have no idea where this issue lies, whether it is EQ2MAP or EQ2 itself but the work around above will mean you won't have the problem.
