Char and NPC NAMES Always in front PLEASE HELP tried everything

I've had this problem for a long time (years), today i finally figured I'd ask for some help since I can't fix it it its pretty anoying, somehow the char and npc NAME TEXT is ALWAYS visible, even when they have an object, npc or char in front of them....

I've tried everything, deleting all the ui settings, then got rid of profit and tried default UI, I even reinstalled the game from scratch and the problem it's still there....anybody have an idea on how to fix it?

That's simply how the game works -- names are not occluded when there's non-geometry (eg a mob) in front.

You can turn names off completely or in certain circumstances, but the game (regardless of the UI you use) will show the names regardless of if there is a mob in front.

IIRC you can select in options to only show names on mouse-over and for your target. Maybe that helps.

yes, I've been raiding like that for a while (with char names, guild and titles off), thought the text always on top behavior was a problem with my game.... I guess nothing its wrong then

looks kinda screwed up though (ugly) .....maybe it's a change we could ask for....

There is russian mod. Names visible at any distance (limited by game engine), sometimes even through walls (always through mobs).
